Elk City / Clinton KOA, Canute, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: May, 2011 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nice level campsite and overall appearance was great. Wifi connected asap. People and staff were very friendly and helpful. The park was quite spacious and had many trees for shading. There was a park for children as well as a pool. They even had gas pumps at the entrance of the KOA. I would definitely recommend this place for overnight and extended stays!!! We camped at Elk City / Clinton KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Distant Drums RV Resort, Camp Verde, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2011 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Camp Verde is a great place to spend your winter months in Arizona, but you do get some weather there. The town is easily accessible from this park in addition to shopping and site seeing in nearby towns. The park is very clean and neat. Not good for children however as there isn't much to occupy them other than the pool in summer months. Its a great place for someone to stay for a night or two. There is the Cliff Castle Casino across the way from the park which offers some entertainment on weekends other than gambling and the park offers a bus to and from the casino. The park has a gym for exercise enthusiasts, but it is quite small. Its a great place for adults and retirees! We camped at Distant Drums RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA, Holbrook, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2011 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This was one big gravel pit. Nothing spectacular to speak about. The Wi-Fi wasn't too good, you needed a coupon for each day you needed to use it and the connection was bad. We stayed 3 days but wouldn't visit again. The atmosphere was dismal!!! We camped at Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tucumcari KOA, Tucumcari, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2011 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Good for an overnight stay, but not much more. The property could use an overhaul. The picnic tables had bird droppings all about and needed to be redone altogether. The sites need to be re-graveled also. The Wi-Fi was excellent and the bathrooms were clean. Prior visits we enjoyed good meals, both breakfast and dinners. We camped at Tucumcari KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Distant Drums RV Resort, Camp Verde, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed for 2 months. Many of the best sites are taken by work campers. The store / office should be open later than 9pm and was often closed before 8:30. That lead to the pool being closed before 8:45 as posted. Even if a guest was in the pool staff would ask the guest to get out of the pool, so staff could get off early. The Area around the pool could have been better. Laundry is clean. The Gym small and clean. All in all the best Park for miles around. We camped at Distant Drums RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tucumcari KOA, Tucumcari, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first time camping together and we found this place to be very clean, especially the bathroom and showers. They were organized and well managed. The husband and wife team are great together. She cooks very well and they even personalize their services by bringing meals to your site if need be. We will definitely come back here again on our return to New Mexico. We camped at Tucumcari KOA in a Tent.
