Park went through fire several years ago and many of the burned dead trees are still standing, They have begun to reforest it. Sites are fairly level some have sewer dumps on site. Filled up quickly while we were there.

Date of Stay:

Sites are gravel, filled up quickly, No reservations taken, NO DUMP station so be clean when you arrive! Gravel sites very close to each other a few trees. Water and electric only! There is a peacock on the premises so be prepared to hear it screech.

Note this is a free park but the review expects you to pay. This was our second stay at this park, You must call the city office to get a key to unlock the electric box but it has water, sewer and electric 30 amp so if you need converter be prepared. Can be noisy with kids until 10:30 pm Our rig was a bit long to back in so we parked near curb on the end so not to impede traffic. Maximum length is 32ft. Dumpster near by. Offered to make a donation when we turned in the key and they absolutely refused! Would stay here again overnight Very shady and has playground near by.

Excellent state park, very quiet, spacious sites over looking the lake. Sites were gravel but very level. We were excited to see a bald eagle perched in a dead tree near our site.

Note this park is NOT found by GPS so keep your eyes open. Also be very careful of pets. Nothing but lava rock which cuts tender paws something fierce. Sites are rather close but do have a fire ring and tables. Clean, and Laundry is clean and well maintained. Has a Laundry sink for hand washables.

We were in this park for 5 days and it was excellent. Sites though gravel were level and had a tree (note this is relatively new park so trees are still small). They had water issues the first two days. Off and on we were there but they let us know when it would be fixed. Nice little store next to office. Close to Petro gas and highway but no sounds from either disturbed us.

Did not have Passport America and they would not honor any of the other cards we had. Site has water, elect and sewer but is gravel, has no trees. Very rustic park that is up for sale, so owner is not really doing much to make it look any better. Laundry room was clean but only has 2 machines ($1.75 to wash). NOTE this campground is out in the boonies..... the closest Walmart is 52 miles away.

Not a park we would stay in again, sites very close, gravel, no shade. We were given site #1 and had to move cause we could not get around the scrub brush they called a 150 year old tree. Right near I-40 so you hear traffic all night and there is a train track so guess what, trains all night too!

Date of Stay:

Due to the nature of our trip the stop was just a quick overnighter so did not check out the amenities, the campsites are Very Close to each other. Would only stay again if I had to!

Date of Stay:

Excellent paved roads, Concrete pads, beautiful lakeside camping or selecuded spots if you desire. Clean, quiet, very friendly staff. Trees could use a little trimming but otherwise a really nice park and would definitely stay here again! Rate reflects senior discount.

Overall the park is huge, however when we called they only take reservations for the Scissortail area which has about 20 sites. The site we were assigned had had water issues, the area was extremely muddy to the point I had mud over the top of sneakers trying to hook water to our trailer. It was continuly leaking underground creating a swamp. Sights were asphalt paved but very narrow. Also they booked a rodeo group in this section with many horses. Will not stay here again.

Very nice park, sites nearest lake are rather sloped. Pads are gravel, clean, quiet, well maintained. Never saw any employees there during our 2 day stay. Honor system payment area. Laundry has 2 washers and dryers and well maintained!

Very nice park. Gravel pads but well paved roads, well maintained. Quiet and peaceful. We were here early week so very few people here which helped as we booked "Standard Electric" which did not include water. Luckily we were able to transfer to a sight with water and sewer! Would definitely stay here again!

Very nice campground, but roadways inside the park are gravel. Sites are concrete, level, wide. Good wifi reception. Dog area rather far away from trailers for nightly potty usage for our pups.

This was a wonderful place to camp overnight on our journey. Nice quiet, peaceful only problem is be prepared to have extra long hoses or extra hoses to reach the water supply areas. We ended up using 3 hoses to get water to our trailer.
