Wisconsin Dells KOA, Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is a super clean and beautiful campground. Had immaculate grounds! The staff is very friendly and one particular couple will make your stay the best. People may notice the train that runs adjacent to the campground, it can be heard usually. There is no whistle or crossings near, so that is not an issue. Once inside the motorhome, we never heard it. Will definitely be back! We camped at Wisconsin Dells KOA in a Motorhome.

Little River Casino Resort, Manistee, Michigan

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great concept! Has the ability to have activities and a place to stay. The shuttle will come and take you to the casino, although it is only across a parking lot. Actually took 5 minutes to walk to the door from our motorhome. The restaurants are great and we had a great time with the entertainment in the bar also. Of course it helps when we won at the machines. The only complaint is: no fire rings at the sites, but they do have a group pavilion with fire ring for your use. Has all cement sites and a very friendly staff at the resort. We camped at Little River Casino Resort in a Motorhome.

Silver Creek Luxury RV Resort, Mears, Michigan

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This was a great premium resort, beautiful lush grass and cement pads. The area has a lot to offer. Staff was friendly, and the resort is kept very clean and well tended to. We stayed off season so the price is low. Would go again. It's close to the beach and town center. We camped at Silver Creek Luxury RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Rock Island KOA, Rock Island, Illinois

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Number one problem, this campground is severely overrun with geese, so much so, that we could not walk anywhere without stepping in droppings! The front desk girl could not even muster a smile, very cold. Gnats are everywhere, probably caused by the amount of goose droppings on the premises. We paid for 2 nights, but we left the next morning without even asking for a refund for the next unused night. We just couldn't wait to get out of this campground! We camped at Rock Island KOA in a Motorhome.

Kankakee South KOA, Chebanse, Illinois

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The only reason this place rates a 1 is for the somewhat level sites, and that's where the positives end. The staff is very unfriendly. Sites very in closeness to each other. The big rig next to us pulled in and proceeded to start and use their onboard generator. I called the front desk and she had to check if that's allowed in the park. Several campers in our vicinity drank and yelled until after 1:30 am and repeated calls from several of us campers to the office were left unanswered. The water here is terrible. Not sure what the smell is: not egg or sulphur. There is a dump that is closed down right across the street: guess it could be toxic runoff into the well water system. This was the worst nightmare we have had camping. We would never stay here again, ever. I can't believe this is a KOA! We camped at Kankakee South KOA in a Motorhome.

Indiana Beach Campground , Monticello, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Our site was tight. Could reach our neighbor from our window. Need to let campers know not to leave the garbage for a pick-up. It is not available, and there were all kinds of bags laying around at sites. Nice to have the tram and boat available to go to Indiana Beach at no charge. Cable TV there, but better bring a splitter as you share the one cable line with your neighbor, and no air TV there. Lots to do at Indiana Beach...will probably go again for something to do. We camped at Indiana Beach Campground in a Motorhome.
