Skidaway Island State Park, Savannah, Georgia

Date of Stay: May, 2006 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

HUGE wooded pull-thru sites, nice grills and picnic tables. Paved roads. Nice for small children since door/awning faces away from road. Swimming pool OK, but NO shade and lots of non-campers swimming there. Nice ranger-coordinated campfire with stories, marshmallows. Close to Savannah and Tybee Island. Overall, enjoyed it alot, especially the nice, big sites. We camped at Skidaway Island State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Ocean Lakes Family Campground, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2006 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice campground. Great indoor and outdoor pool, nice arcade and snack bar/store and nice playground. Great place to take the kids. My 4 year old still says it was his favorite place to camp! Golf carts are fun too but rates go from $14 per day off-season to like $40 per day in the summer...seems like a rip-off. We camped at Ocean Lakes Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Edisto Beach State Park, Edisto Island, South Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2005 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Nice sites overall, but some really tight turns. Playground equipment is pathetic and rusty and downright unsafe. Otherwise, would go back, as nice beace and nice campground. We camped at Edisto Beach State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Devil's Fork State Park, Salem, South Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2005 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park, but have to walk to the lake down pretty steep trails, so not very good for small children. Lots of dropoffs as well at the sites. Would go back in a minute when my kids get older. We camped at Devil's Fork State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Hilton Head Harbor RV Resort & Marina, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2005 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park, nice residents, friendly staff. Two pools, clean and well maintained. Didn't have any problems with obnoxious children (all that we met said "sir" and "ma'am" and played with my three year old). Trash pickup at site. Some of the sites are VERY landscaped and pretty, all are clean and spacious. Would return again in a minute!! We camped at Hilton Head Harbor RV Resort & Marina in a Travel Trailer.
