Yellowstone Valley Inn & RV Park, Wapiti, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

This park is highly overrated. $52.00 a night with no sewer hook-ups and no cable. Sites were gravel but now is worn down to being as if you were parked on dirt. A worker drives around everyday with ground smoother, covering all rigs with dust, you must keep your door closed. They do not allow washing vehicles even tho they cover them with dust. They have a sewer dump but you must pay a $5.oo fee to use the key to it. We wish the Good Sam campground reference book had been more accurate, we would not have stayed here. We camped at Yellowstone Valley Inn & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lakeside Casino & RV Park , Pahrump, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We have been coming here a couple times a year for 8 years. Having a change in management has shown to be a bad decision, as the park is going downhill. The water goes out every few days for a couple of hours while they try to fix the pump. We had to change sites because they said a rally was coming and had requested our site, but the site remained vacant for the next five days we were there.

The casino had very few players (maybe a dozen) and the machines have been tightened up beyond belief.

We went to the Mexican buffet and the food was cold and tasted like leftovers. Come to find out, the taco meat was indeed ground up pot roast from the day before. We decided to give it another try but when only two couples were in the restaurant, we took the hint and left. We were saddened to see the lake full of cattails again and the grass is not kept like it was, full of weeds and gophers. We camped at Lakeside Casino & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Havasu Falls RV Resort, Lake Havasu City, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park, level pads and nice pool, club room and clean restrooms. However, the new owner is a bit of a "my way or the Hwy" guy. He has cameras installed everywhere, really makes you feel welcome. The sewer smell was horrible and we asked to be moved, it actually makes you sick to the tummy, we were told "no, your site is your site". We left to find another park. The new pricing is a little above what this park is worth. We would not stay here again. We camped at Havasu Falls RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Snake River RV Resort, Homedale, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This park is truly a gem, poised on the banks of the Snake River. Every site has a view of the river and the fishing is great. The owner is very careful to not water in the wind and to direct sprinklers away from campers. The owner is very friendly and ready to help in any and every way possible. We stayed here for two weeks and enjoyed every moment. We will return when in the area. We camped at Snake River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Glendo Lakeside RV Park, Glendo, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

I would rate this park higher except for horrible road leading into and out of the park. By the time we got to our site, the toad was so dusty you could not tell that it was brown - it looked totally white. The lady who checked us in did not mention that the showers are pay showers, nor did she give us the code to the restroom. Who do you ask after the office closes at 6:00? Would stay again if no other alternative was available. We camped at Glendo Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hardin KOA, Hardin, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the better KOA camps. The biggest problems are the narrow ingress/egress. Larger units have difficulty making the turns. While parked (by the owner), another large RV was brought in in front of us. He missed the front of our unit by a mere inch -- even with me yelling to watch the tail swing. For the price, I expect more knowledge of RVs, parking procedures and better amenities, only 7 cable TV channels. We camped at Hardin KOA in a Motorhome.

What a delight this park is! Small, friendly, beautiful grass. gravel sites. Fruit trees were ready for picking, we had fresh cherries, apples and onions from his garden. We will absolutely go back and stay here as we enjoyed every minute of the week we were there. We camped at Fish House Inn and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Trail Break RV Park, Glenns Ferry, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

After reading the reviews, we very surprised to find that this park is in disrepair, grass needs cut, sprinklers run all day and night. No one available to assign a site. Very tight egress, had to disconnect and back out as the trees have low limbs. Slides are difficult because of narrow sites. Must have been girls night out the night before we left as a whole group of them sat around laughing and drinking. The owner got mad and came out to see what the devil we were doing at 7:30 am because our diesel engine woke her up. There are three other campgrounds in the area, any one of which would be a better choice. We camped at Trail Break RV Park in a Motorhome.

Moore's RV Park (formerly Desert Rose Resort), Bloomfield, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Old KOA with very unlevel sites, in bad need of some gravel to stop dirt from being either mud or very dusty. Pretty entrance but low pine trees on one side and big rose bushes on the other scratched the sides of our motorhome both coming and going. Park is mostly permanents with lots of big dogs and dog pens. Way too pricey for what you get. Also office hands out fishing guide info sheet for a local guide. Guide was terrific, but the prices that Desert Rose quotes was $50.00 less than guide gets, guide honored the price but did not have to. Left early and found a park two blocks away for $15.00 a night cheaper. We camped at Moore's RV Park (formerly Desert Rose Resort) in a Motorhome.

Fort Collins / Lakeside KOA , Fort Collins, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We had a reservation with this park but experienced an emergency with a 90 yr old mother in Kansas and had to make a fast trip back there. The manager was so compassionate that he debited our card for the remainder of our reservation. If you stay here be sure that you never have an emergency arise. The roads need to be watered down to control the dust and the grass has mostly dried up. We had our grandson visit one day but at a cost of $5.50 for 15 minutes of paddle boating ($22.00 an hour?) and equally exorbitant costs for mini-golf and biking, we didn't do very much. Something needs to be said about the fact that RVer's are not all wealthy and spending their kids inheritance. This park was once a friendly, well maintained park but compassion long ago went out the door at this KOA, and trying to reason with them is beyond their limited understanding. We camped at Fort Collins / Lakeside KOA in a Motorhome.

Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

What a breathe of fresh air this camp is. Mgmt could not be nicer or more helpful. A few permanents but they are all so friendly. Camp is very remote, among pine trees but nicely spaced wide sites. WiFi worked perfectly although Verizon cell service was positional. Some sites are better for satellite than others but mgmt will advise you of those sites. We were in site 35, absolutely perfect for a big rig. We love this camp and will return often. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Riverview RV Park & Campground, Loveland, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This is a rustic park that is being allowed to go to pot! We stayed for a month, having made reservations 6 months prior. The only site available for us upon arrival was in the back among the permanents, site 134. It is almost ghetto quality back there, we asked several times to be moved but there never seemed to be a vacancy. We were not able to use the awning due to large trees too close and we could not sit outside next to the coach due to large tree roots. To sit out, we had sit next to the dirt road. Our site became very muddy during rains, we asked for some gravel and were told we would be put on the "to do" list. Never happened. If you are a permanent, you can change your oil, wash your vehicle and make noise before 7:00 am by starting and warming up diesel trucks, if you're not - you better watch out, as camp rules change with the mood of the owner. The grass was not mowed once while we were there. The workkampers are friendly and would like to be helpful but are not allowed to. The office staff can be very rude or nice, depending on the day and time. We only stayed because of family obligations but we will never return. This campground is highly overrated by travel directories, We camped at Riverview RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Loveland RV Resort, Loveland, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This campground was once a nice place to stay but it has gone all the way down hill. Junk everywhere and too many permanents living in trashy units. Grounds are not maintained and very tight spots for the newer rigs. Management is extremely rude and the office help hasn't a clue what they are doing. I left early and will never return. I wish management would read some of their reviews -- maybe they would clean up their "resort" and attitude. We camped at Loveland RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lakeside Casino & RV Park , Pahrump, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Terrible's is in bankruptcy and the attempts at cost cutting are showing. Security is reduced, office help is reduced, but the biggest problem is with the nightly watering at the sites. The sprinklers are set so poorly that the coaches are drenched every night which means wiping down every morning. Repeated requests to have the sprinklers adjusted went ignored. We have stayed here many times before but may go somewhere else in the future. We camped at Lakeside Casino & RV Park in a Motorhome.
