Mission Bay RV Resort, San Diego, California

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $9.00
Overall Rating:

Several of the shower faucets were broken and the tile in the showers was cracked and in my opinion kind of dangerous. Right on the bay and a long walk to anywhere so if you do not have a car plan on a cab. We camped at Mission Bay RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Darlings Resort & RV Park, Florence, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We had a beautiful lakeside site although it was a bit small and the neighbors very close. One set of restrooms was terrible, the other great. The fishing during August is pretty bad according to some locals. The manager was nice and helpful but the kids working in the office were clueless and no help at all. A tavern is onsite although it was quiet, thank God. We camped at Darlings Resort & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Winchester Bay RV Resort, Winchester Bay, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

It was modern, clean quiet and in a lovely waterside setting although very windy. The downside was that the Wi-Fi was sporadic and unreliable and there was little enforcement of space utilization thus pickups for fifth wheels blocked the roads. We will stay there again if they get the Internet access fixed. We camped at Winchester Bay RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Yreka RV Park, Yreka, California

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

The restrooms were large and nice as was the lounge/office and the manager helpful and cheerful. A great Mexican restaurant Puerta Vallarta about a half mile walk away. A good place to stop for an overnight. Freeway noise was not bad at all. We camped at Yreka RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sandy Riverfront RV Resort, Troutdale, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

It was clean and quiet and we will stay again. The restrooms and showers were clean and comfortable. The Sandy River was 50 yards from my site and the fish were apparently on strike. The fellow in the office was a fun guy. We camped at Sandy Riverfront RV Resort in a Motorhome.

LePage Park COE, Rufus, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

It was windy, hot, and dusty although a deal at $10 a night for a senior. The swimming beach on the John Day River was nice and the camp hosts helpful. The flush toilets were a block away and the outhouse ones were an olfactory challenge in the 95 degree heat. I did catch some fish. We camped at LePage Park COE in a Motorhome.

Twin Lakes Resort, La Pine, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The restrooms and showers were old fashioned but reasonably clean. A very woodsy setting with nice level trails and the fishing was marginal. Avoid sites near the dumpsters as the smell is a bit bad. Many families had camped there each year forever. A well stocked store and nice restaurant. We camped at Twin Lakes Resort in a Motorhome.

Blue Heron RV Park, Hornbrook, California

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $69.00
Overall Rating:

This park was beautiful, on the river with nice roomy sites and grass. Although it was too expensive: that would prevent us from going back unless I heard the fishing was really hot. The road from 80 was a bit rough. The campground host and the owners whom we met in the restaurant were really nice people. We saw the space station go overhead while we were there. We camped at Blue Heron RV Park in a Motorhome.
