Shreveport / Bossier City KOA (formerly Tall Pines RV Park), Shreveport, Louisiana

Date of Stay: November, 2009 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for just one night while traveling to Arkansas. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. We have two kids and a dog and felt welcomed. It's a great place to stay for one night since it was conveniently located for us. It looks like a nice place to stay if you are retired and looking for something quiet and long term. This is not a campground for vacationing families. We would definitely stay here again if we need another overnight campground. We camped at Shreveport / Bossier City KOA (formerly Tall Pines RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Catherine State Park, Hot Springs, Arkansas

Date of Stay: November, 2009 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed our stay here for Thanksgiving week. We drove 9 hours to stay at this park. This campground has a couple of nice hiking trails, although one was closed due to hunting season. The water level is intentionally dropped very low in the winter so the lake was not as pretty as it could be. Some of the sites are short and very unlevel so you have to be careful with larger rigs. Overall we like the campground, but it probably wasn't worth the 9 hour drive. Next time we will try another park, but will definitely visit Arkansas again. We camped at Lake Catherine State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tremont Outdoor Resort, Townsend, Tennessee

Date of Stay: November, 2006 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first time staying at this campground, but it won't be the last. We enjoyed our stay. We have visited all the other campgrounds in the area and this is our favorite. Cell phones do not work here, but they do work just down the road. WiFi is very spotty. The management was very helpful and friendly. We camped at Tremont Outdoor Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Claiborne State Park, Homer, Louisiana

Date of Stay: December, 2005 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This is by far the most beautiful Louisiana State park that we have been to. They have nice hiking trails and the park was very well maintained. I saw four deer during my early morning run. The only down side to the park is that it is not closer to where we live. We stayed for a week during the New Years holidays. Reserve a lake site if possible. It was so nice waking up to that view. We camped at Lake Claiborne State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lakeside RV Park, Livingston, Louisiana

Date of Stay: August, 2005 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

The campground is very well managed. I would have to give management a 10. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. Although the sites were very level and clean, they were too close together. The pool was too small for the number of sites. There is absolutely no shade. It's a nice commercial campground. I thought the nightly rate was a little too expensive considering there is no cable hookup. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Natalbany Creek Campground & RV Park, Amite, Louisiana

Date of Stay: July, 2005 - $99.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice campground. We already have another trip planned this fall. There were a few minor things that kept me from rating this campground higher. The grass needed to be cut. When we arrived our trash container at our site was already full and did not get emptied for 2 days. I thought the pool was too small for the number of sites at the campground. Overall we still enjoyed the campground. We camped at Natalbany Creek Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: June, 2005 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice campground. It is small and the sites are a little close together. For the area, this is one of the nicest rv parks that we found. The owners are very nice and will go out of their way to help. We were greated when we arrived. They led us to our site and helped us set up. This is a great place if you have children. We camped at Imagination Mountain Camp-Resort (formerly Great Smoky Jellystone Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Little Black Creek Water Park, Lumberton, Mississippi

Date of Stay: May, 2005 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This is the type of RV park that we look for. Plenty of room between sites and shade trees. It was very quiet. There are two beach areas for swimming. The lake is beautiful. We camped at Little Black Creek Water Park in a Fifth Wheel.
