Portal RV Resort and Campground, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Really enjoyed our stay here. Close to Arches and Canyon-lands National Parks, yet still close to town. We stayed in the new, south section which is beautiful with large, level concrete pads and strong Wi-Fi. The older, north section was gravel, with fairly narrow sites. In fact, as we drove through the north section into the south, we felt as if we had moved into a different world. We would certainly stay here again. We camped at Portal RV Resort and Campground in a Motorhome.

Well located right off I-10, but quiet. Check in was easy, and roads were wide enough to maneuver our motorhome though without issue. Our site was reasonably level and easy to get into with good hookups (appeared to have been recently installed). All in all a nice experience, and we will certainly stay here again in the future. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Motorhome.

Griffin Park, Pierre, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Neat city-owned park that offers sites with views of the Missouri River. Right in town, so it is easy to get to anything in town (but a 5 day limit per stay). We used the 50 amp power and dump station (with water fill) and enjoyed it. Very level sites and easy to back in. We will certainly stay here again when in Pierre. We camped at Griffin Park in a Motorhome.

Super 8 Motel / R & R Campground & RV Park, Mitchell, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

We used the Passport rate. Friendly staff welcomed us and we appreciated the level, pull-through site. Things were in good repair, even though there had been considerable rain in the prior weeks. Convenient location to I-90, the Corn Palace in Mitchell and Cabelas sporting goods. We heard some road noise from the Interstate, but it was not a problem for us. We will stop here again when in the Mitchell area. We camped at Super 8 Motel / R & R Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.
