It is a perfect place to spend a night or two. It is easy to get in and out, and fairly inexpensive. There are grassy sites. We arrived mid-day on Saturday and no one was in office and no one answered phone number that was posted. Another camper told us they encountered same thing and just parked in any spot, so we did the same. Security was present at night (after 5 pm or so) and told us we were in wrong spot, but he just changed the number on the papers he had for us and didn't expect us to move. Our only problem: we couldn't get the cable TV hook up to work!

Sure, this RV Resort is a 180+ space parking lot, where the RV's are so close together you can barely walk between them, BUT with it's extremely close proximity to San Francisco, this place cannot be beat. The staff were extremely friendly. One man at the front desk, was especially helpful with planning excursions into the city, giving us maps, brochures and helpful hints. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked, although hot water was lacking in the showers on a couple of mornings. The pool and hot tub were nice. The playground needs updating, since all the equipment is rusting and broken. There is no beach access from the resort, you need to go a mile or two south, near the Pacifica Pier to play in the sand/water. All in all, this is a good place to base your San Francisco RV vacation.
