Wolf Run State Park, Belle Valley, Ohio

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

We drive down from east central Ohio a couple of times a summer to enjoy this campground. The staff is friendly and the park is patrolled by a State Ranger who knows the area well and is very helpful. Small grocery deli in the neighboring community serves the area well with food and beverages as well as live bait. The local Vol. Fire Dept. puts on chicken BBQ's on holiday weekends at the firehouse a couple of miles down the road from the park. Fishing is usually good at this lake as we have caught large Bluegill and Bass. Lakeview sites are NON-ELECTRIC but very beautiful. Showers are always clean and pit toilets are kept as nice as you can keep them with staff in everyday cleaning. This is truly one of our favorite weekend spots to just get away and enjoy nature. We camped at Wolf Run State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Elizabethtown Crossroads Campground, Elizabethtown, Kentucky

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

The park owners were very friendly. Campground was clean with a nice pool. The camp store could have been better stocked, but it was close to town for all our needs. We camped at Elizabethtown Crossroads Campground in a Travel Trailer.
