Adventure Bound Camping Resorts – Cape May, Cape May Court House, New Jersey

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $92.00
Overall Rating:

My family and I have been camping for over 18 years. We have been to over 10 or more different campgrounds around PA and NJ. I have two major complaints about this place. One is that the bathrooms were very dirty at all different times of the day, the floors were always wet and muddy and trash was all over the place. Second is that the manager walks around at 11:05 p.m. and tells everyone to turn OFF their radios. I have never experienced this at any other campground I have been to. I always thought that "quiet hours" were meant to be considerate and courteous towards other campers. Here, it seems that quiet hours mean time to go to bed. My wife and I were listening to music on our cell phone at a very low volume and the owner insisted that we turn it off altogether. One more thing to mention and think about before camping here is that the campground consisted of almost 80%-90% Mexican/Brazilian campers. There is a large tenting section in the back of the campground which the sites were right on top of each other. It was like "Tent City". To sum it up, the biggest negative of this campground is the manager walking around at 11:00 p.m. and telling people that it was basically time to go to bed.

Fantasy Island Campground, Sunbury, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice but small campground. Store closed way too early: around 4:45. Pool is small but in the sun and is also heated. We stayed in the cabin. It did have a window a/c, but is a little undersized. The bathroom in the cabin is great to have! We stayed here because we love to camp, and it is only 25 minutes to Knobels. We camped at Fantasy Island Campground in a Campground Cabin.

Nice place. Owners were nice. Store & game room were nice and open till 10pm Friday and Saturday. Small pool, but was heated. Sites are way too close together. Over all a nice place. We camped at Ringing Rocks Family Campground in a Tent.

Tohickon Family Campground, Quakertown, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $34.00

OK, the staff here are very, very friendly. But this is not a place to camp in a tent. They only have about 18 or so tent sites that are way too close to each other. They are dirt sites that do not drain well at all. We had to leave after we could not find a site that did not look like a swamp ! We camped at Tohickon Family Campground in a Tent.

Homestead Campground, Green Lane, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here one night. The place is a little old but very nice and clean. Nice private, level, gravel sites. Bath house is old, but clean with free hot showers. Staff was very nice to us. Nice big pool; half the pool is roped off for children and is only 2 1/2 feet deep. My three year old son had a ball ! No planned activities or anything like that; just a nice place to relax and have some family time. We camped at Homestead Campground in a Tent.
