Sunset Point RV Trailer Park, Lubec, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Great campground with terrific views of the water. The sites are a little tight, but meticulously groomed and good hook ups. Nice minnow pond on site, free morning coffee, free use of propane cooker for crab and lobster, free use of honey wagon. Small beach area, with clamming and kayaking. The owner and office help were terrific as were all the campers we met. Cash only and we booked next year already. Over all one the the best places I've camped in twenty years. We camped at Sunset Point RV Trailer Park in a Travel Trailer.

Lake Pemaquid Campground, Damariscotta, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed one night meeting up with friends while we were on our way north. Nice facility right on the lake, with a lot of activities for kids and families. More of a destination/resort type campground than a stop over place. We camped at Lake Pemaquid Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Adventures East Campground & Cottages, Baddeck, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at campground as an overnight after traveling the Cabot Trail. Was a nice smaller campground. Sites we combination of grass and gravel on a little hill, but had good drainage. Nothing special but a good stop over place. Pool and baths were clean and gate attendant was very nice. We camped at Adventures East Campground & Cottages in a Travel Trailer.

Old Shipyard Beach Campground, Spencers Island, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Awesome ocean front campground right on the bay of Fundy. This is a hidden gem and hopefully stays that way. Sites are a mixture of grass and gravel, with pretty easy access. Owners are friendly, hard working, and helpful as are the other campers we met. Beach is a rocky beach with a remains of an nineteen century ship yard and a turn of the century light house on site. Bathrooms are clean and laundry is on site. Will camp here again. We camped at Old Shipyard Beach Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Port Advocate has a little "general store" with fresh vegetables, beer and wine and a good place to shop. Just outside the campground is a fish market, if you can call it that. Lady sells fish from here house, Fish was great and Lobsters were excellent and a good price.

This is a Great Campground with a beautiful setting, with the nicest beach I saw in Nova Scotia. Bath facility is newer and meticulous, Sites are nice and big with lots a grass. Campground is at the beginning of the Cabot Trail and a great place to drop you camper and explore the area, but there isn't much close by. We camped at MacLeod's Beach Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Seafoam Campground, Seafoam, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

This a nice campground right on the water, with a nice beach area. Large section of seasonals and mostly open grass sites. Sites were large and easy to access, office attendant was very nice and owner even delivered ice to our site. Wife met a few of the seasonal campers and became friendly and felt right at home. Would camp here again. We camped at Seafoam Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Lone Pine Park, Penobsquis, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This was a stop over place in route to Nova Scotia. Great little campground with a little village feel. Mostly seasonal sites, but all very nicely maintained with landscaping and ornate decks and decorations. Owner lives on site and was very friendly and came out after hours to check us in. Would camp here again. We camped at Lone Pine Park in a Travel Trailer.

Bar Harbor Campground, Bar Harbor, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great park with a variety of wooded, open, and partially covered sites. Nice paved roads, but some are a little tight for the novice driver. When I read they didn't take reservations, I thought "how strange", but after picking my own site and playing the Bar Harbor Shuffle, I had a great time. The most fun I've had camping in a while and you can pick your own site.
Also the office staff were great, very friendly and helpful. We camped at Bar Harbor Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Country Aire Campground, Charlemont, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This a great little campground in the middle of Western Mass. Very friendly management, and very well maintained. Grass and bushes were all trimmed, no weeds or undergrowth. Roads all in nice condition with very large pull through sites. All the utilities are newer, electric, water, and sewer. Nice little store, the snack are was closed, but the kitchen was spotlessly clean. We camped at Country Aire Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Yogi Bear's Sturbridge Jellystone Park, Sturbridge, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Second time I camped here in ten years. Park is large, but run down and poorly maintained. Sites are not set up very well with a lot of roots and branches that should be leveled and trimmed. Electrical hooks ups were dated and popped breakers frequently. My service connect had two 50 amp outlets, no 30 amp and I didn't have a converter. As we packed up to leave the sewer connection next door backed up. Dumping a couple of hundred of gallons of raw sewage on the ground. The sewer pipe is old and broken, the back up was caused by this and everybody dumping at the end of the weekend. I won't be camping here again. Too bad because it wouldn't take much to clean this park up. We camped at Yogi Bear's Sturbridge Jellystone Park in a Travel Trailer.

Cherry Hill Park, College Park, Maryland

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice campground, well laid out and nicely kept. Sites were nice although it looked like some were a little tight. Pool complex and restaurant were great. Excellent food for a great price. We usually don't eat out when camping, but this was a travel stop and ate at the snack shack. There is highway noise because you are so close to the roadways, but not terrible and you have to consider that you are in the city. Great stay can't wait to visit Washington and Cherry Hill again. We camped at Cherry Hill Park in a Travel Trailer.

Shady Knoll, Brewster, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This a is a great campground in the middle of the cape. Facilities are newer and clean, staff is friendly, and would recommend this campground to others. The campground itself is a simple set up and not a resort type place, but a perfect spot to set up while you explore the area. We camped at Shady Knoll in a Travel Trailer.
