Hidden Springs Campground, Clearfield, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

When we got here we had to be put onto a different site than we had reserved. Sites were very close, little room for a fire. Could not open awning due to a tree on site. Many sites are seasonal so campground had many locals with children running around without much adult supervision. Campground is close to Rocky Gap State Park, which is very nice to explore. Would not use as a weekend destination, but would use as a one night stopover on a longer trip. We camped at Hidden Springs Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Big Bone Lick State Park, Union, Kentucky

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Overall we like this park for an easy weekend trip. This year what we didn't like was that after 8:00 P.M. when the office closes, there were no park employees, camp hosts, or Park Rangers. You were on your own with no cell phone reception. If this situation continues I'm not sure this will be a good choice for family camping. We camped at Big Bone Lick State Park in a Travel Trailer.
