Frisco Woods Campground, Frisco, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

Thank goodness we tried this campsite: we absolutely loved it! It wasn't on the ocean "per se" but on the sound side, however we walked across the road and over the dune to the beach. The beach was pretty private; not like a lot of public beaches. The campground was so lovely; I loved the openness! There were lots of trails through the trees that children would love and the sound was perfect for children. You didn't have to worry about them as much as in the ocean. The camp store was lovely and well stocked and the campground was well maintained; considering the size of it. The pool was lovely and there were numerous bathhouses through out. There were many who camped in tents, motorhomes, pull behinds, or in the quaint cabins. I read on one site that the staff was not very friendly. Not so: we were walking back from the ocean with 3 whinny kids and the lady who checked us in was coming through and gave us a ride back to the campground. How is that for service beyond the norm? We have been to numerous "cookie cutter" campgrounds where there is no ambience; everyone is packed together like sardines and there is a "slot" for you. Being able to walk around through the lovely campsite meant a lot to me. I would go again anytime! We camped at Frisco Woods Campground in a Motorhome.
