Camp Hither Hills, Ottawa, Ontario

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Park is laid out weird. Pull-throughs at end of campground are not defined well, leading to confusion and overlapping. I ended up having to back in to my pull-through. Sites are extremely narrow. We had an almost constant sewer smell at our site. Owner was very friendly and helpful when we checked in. Washrooms and showers are in dire need of a renovation. Definitely not a destination campground, but serves its purpose if you are seeing the sights in Ottawa. Really easy to get downtown from the campground. We camped at Camp Hither Hills in a Travel Trailer.

Jellystone Park on Barton Lake, Fremont, Indiana

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

This is almost the best campground I’ve ever been in. I say almost for 1 big reason: the highway. There is constant highway noise. I found it troubling to get to sleep at night. If this campground was just ½ mile north, it would be without a doubt the best. Lots for the kids to do. Facilities were great. Whoever owns this park obviously spent some serious money on it. The pools and splashpad area is better than most hotels. We camped at Jellystone Park on Barton Lake in a Travel Trailer.
