August, 2009 -
We visited this campground on July 4th of last year, we were so impressed we decided to make regular visits the summer of 2009. We would place our camper here if it wasn't for our work schedule that doesn't permit us to visit as much as we like. This campground is not too big, not too small. We have two small children that just love it here. We also have no reservations letting them jump on their bikes and take off. We love the pool, very clean. Bathrooms are amazing for campground bathrooms. Sure, not much privacy for showers but its camping. The farthest shower stall does have a bench and curtain for privacy however. Kids love the lake: they are little guys and are able to have plenty of swimming area with water not over their heads. This past weekend, they had paddleboat races, a decorated bike parade, and they always have popcorn/caramel corn on Saturday nights. There is also a small pond you can use for fishing besides the main lake. All different kinds of sites depending on your wants or needs. Campstore is great. Very quiet at night. Occasional noise but that is to be expected. The interstate is close but honestly, unless you stay right next to it, it wasn't even noticed. Electricity, cable TV and internet was great. Love this place. We camped at Spring Valley Campground in a Travel Trailer.
