Vineyard RV Park, Vacaville, California

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

Lots of permanent residence. Gravel roads which create a lot of dust. Landscaping very minimal and not kept up. Sites are wide and gravel. Water electric sure were adequate. We camp with a group and have a clubhouse for use was OK. Staff was friendly and check in and helpful. Don't think it deserves a Good Sam rating that it gets park needs a little more TLC upgrade. Would not stay here again. Verizon and mifi worked good. We camped at Vineyard RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Wind River RV Park, Riverton, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very hard to read small street signs coming in on 26 hwy . Check-in was easy and owner was friendly. The park might be in need of a little yard touching up. Given that there a a few planters with flowers to give a nice touch. Gravel sites and level pull-throughs. Connections good and locations good too! Checked out the bath/restrooms, were super clean. Timers on showers. Quiet from hwy and no railroad noise! Verizon and Mifi worked great. We would stay here again. Oh, sites are spaced OK, as they are opposite. Good if you travel with another couple and want to face each other doors. Tables at sites in good shape and painted. We camped at Wind River RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Peter D's RV Park, Sheridan, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Good park. No answer on phone, just did the registration on line.No response in email confirmation. Would be nice if you got a response. Park is clean, good connections. Verizon worked good as well as MiFi. Spaces are level and long if you need that but they are close. Peter D is very involved with his RV park and does a great job and checks the park 2 times a day. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Very clean and neat park. Level, good water pressure, electric good. Sewer good. VERIZON works good. Close to town. Quiet no freeway noise, could be train noise as tracks close by, but we never heard it. Owners very nice and take pride in their park. We camped at Southside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Good place for over night! Good power, water, sewer hook ups. Sites are level. Some train noise. Very clean restrooms, laundry but only 2 washers and dryers! Gas/diesel close by. VERIZON work good. You need to enter the driveway to Sopko and Best Western and register at the hotel. You can get all you can eat breakfast for $6.00 at the hotel but you need to let them know. We camped at Trails West RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Massacre Rocks State Park, American Falls, Idaho

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Great staff, very friendly! Very historic park. For larger rigs sites are limited. We were in Lower campground which is closer to Snake river. The site was somewhat level; had to use a lot to get level and front end jacks up high. Roads are gravel. If there were a lot of traffic it could be dusty. Sites are spaced apart, which are nice and private. Sites 38 and 42 (great views) was all I that noticed for larger rigs 36'+. Good power and water. Dump station. Roads are a little narrow. We would stay here again. We camped in a 36ft 5th with 3 slides and it work out well. Staff seem to check the campgrounds on their rounds. Restrooms very clean! Was glad we stayed here as we read the reviews from previous review about the park. Don't miss it. We camped at Massacre Rocks State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Winnemucca RV Park, Winnemucca, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park, staff friendly. easy check in. The sites are close together but nice if you are traveling with someone as the sites are opposite directions so you can have your exit doors facing each other. Sites are fairly level. Power was good. Water hookups good, sewer locations good. Verizon and mifi work great. Quiet area very faint noise from freeway and trains. The store is stock with RV items and they have propane. We would stay here again. We camped at Winnemucca RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Check out downtown Winnemucca. Nice walking tour of historic buildings and houses. Check out the visitor center with the Buckeroo museum! We were there when the historic museum was closed but looks interesting. Winnemucca seems to have a lot going on every month, hot air baloons, motorcycle etc. We stayed two day so we could visit the area was worth the effort.

Palm Springs / Joshua Tree KOA (formerly Desert Pools RV Resort), Desert Hot Springs, California

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for 2 months that is the $22 a night rate. Staff was wonderful, park has undergone a lot of upgrades. Pool and spas were clean. Not good wifi as you had to pay daily rate, and it was not that good. No cable but over the air is good. Verizon worked great. Power was good, water pressure was good. Sites are either sandy or gravel. Easy to use and good space between sites. News was the park has been sold and may be a KOA. We camped at Palm Springs / Joshua Tree KOA (formerly Desert Pools RV Resort) in a Fifth Wheel.

Good/great location and quiet. Park very clean except the tables and planters at sites need attention, water pressure low, power excellent since it was 109 here and you needed A/C. Cable is not worth the time 3 channels, use your antenna. Verizon and Mifi works great. Pool excellent. Office was very nice and helpful. Will come here again. We were here for 4 days. full hook ups in good working order and location to rig was good. We camped at Red Bluff RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sierra Trails RV Park, Mojave, California

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

You have two choices where to park. For overnight the back lot is the best. Sites are level, power, water pressure
is good, concrete patio pad w/ table. Sites inside are back in. It is a older park but owners are working hard to keep it looking nice plus the owners and staff are very helpful and friendly. Keep in mind it is in the desert. Verizon and mifi worked great. Over the air tv reception was ok. You can purchase cable for $2.00 more. Inside the office there are nice homemade items for sale. We have used this park before good location for overnight or a day or two if need to. We camped at Sierra Trails RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Check in was easy. Our first site did not work out . Change for another site was easy, no problem. Verizon and Mifi work great. Over the air TV is good.
Electric, water good. Laundry very nice. It you want river sites 1-8 they are mostly for drive in not for back in as connections are backwards as we found out. Nice location and very quiet. We camped at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Cost was inflated because of Balloon Fiesta because of location. We stayed here 2 nights prior to going to the Fiesta. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Verizon worked good and Mifi. A little tight getting in and sites are level, power was good, water pressure good. Sites are close. Campground in good condition and they worked hard to upgrade. Verizon and MiFi worked great. Good location and sites are fairly level and in good condition with gravel. Water pressure good and electric good power. Lodge offers lunch and dinner every night. Would suggest taking the bypass and take W. College ave to get to lodge easier than going through town. We camped at Elks Lodge 969 (Members Only) in a Fifth Wheel.
