Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA, Pueblo, Colorado

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Agree with previous review. Good location right off I-25 (exit 74) with gas station next door that has RV pump for regular and diesel. Also next to gas station is a VERY good BBQ joint (Obie's) and you can park behind in large lot. It was nice to have grass between sites (section E). Folks very nice and well maintained campground. Good power levels and water pressure, Wi-Fi is free and strong. Would recommend this campground and only 130 miles south of Denver. We camped at Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA in a Motorhome.

Kokanee Bay Motel, Cabins & Campground, Lac La Hache, British Columbia

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

The owners are very nice and helpful and run a well maintained and clean campground. What a view!! Right on the lake with full hook-ups and pull-throughs. They also have very nice back-in sites and W/E sites on the waters edge. Paved access road. Yes, close to Hwy 97 but didn't bother us when sitting by the lake or to sleep at night. Picnic tables and chairs for use on the lake. Good fishing and boating - dock and boat ramp. Would recommend to others and stay here again. We camped at Kokanee Bay Motel, Cabins & Campground in a Motorhome.

A great little campground just east of Houston BC along the Yellowhead/Hwy 16. Far enough off highway so it is quiet. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Pull-through sites are long and level, gravel with grass islands between. Good power and water pressure. Beautifully maintained campground. Excellent free Wi-Fi. Would recommend this campground and would stay here again when in the area. We camped at Shady Rest RV Park in a Motorhome.

Klondike RV Park & Cabins, Soldotna, Alaska

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I second the previous comments. The owner is not only very friendly but very proud of his campground and it shows in the facilities and condition of this park. The sites are level and gravel (that drains great). They are wide so you are not on top of other RVers, the way you are in most AK campgrounds. There is nice grass area between each site, another BIG plus. The power was excellent and the water pressure is great. The water pressure is so good it is recommended that you use a regulator. The owner was very welcoming; coming to the site to sure there set-up was going ok. We would stay at this campground again and would recommend it to others. We camped at Klondike RV Park & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Garden City RV Park, Skagway, Alaska

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very convenient; can walk into town. Could use some maintenance but everything worked. Lots of permanent trailers with seasonal workers around the outer edge of the park. Probably the best in the area and great if taking ferry to Haines or coming in on ferry. Manager very willing to assist with late check-outs and any problems. We camped at Garden City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lakeside Camping, North Platte, Nebraska

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is the Passport America rate for pull through full hookup. It is very convenient to I-80 and at the same exit as the Flying J (exit 179). No amenities. Good for overnight. No shade. Lots of sand/dirt and little bit of grass. They haven't had any rain and it is very dry which is good -- if rain would be mud. No problem with satellite. Campground could use some work but would stay here again for an overnight in route. We camped at Lakeside Camping in a Motorhome.

Double Nickel Campground, Waco, Nebraska

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Very friendly hosts. Check-in was excellent. Overnight stop. Not a lot of other folks in the park so actually using two sites to create a pull-through. Otherwise there are a lot of the sites that would be bumper-to-bumper. Interior and entrance roads need a lot of work. Most sites are pretty level. Lots of shaded sites but also have sites where you can get satellite (if need make sure you let them know). Sites in the back of the campground overlook the golf course. There is a driving range that you can walk to. Would stay here again. We camped at Double Nickel Campground in a Motorhome.

Basswood Resort, Platte City, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects Passport America. Some areas are showing their age but overall it is a very nice RV park. Although a ways off I-29, it is easy to get to (just take it easy going in and out of entry -- steep!). Well stocked store. They deliver fresh made pizza, wings, etc. right to your campsite. Pool is beautiful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We camped at Basswood Resort in a Motorhome.

St. Peters' 370 Lakeside Park, Saint Peters, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent location west of St Louis not far from I-70. Sites are all very level. Pull-through and back-ins available. Great space between sites; not on top of each other. No shade (someday the new trees will offer that too). Hook-ups are well placed and power and water pressure are good. Walking/bike path is excellent. Can rent kayaks, canoes, paddle boats, bikes, etc. Fishing areas. Only two showers in the bath house but clean. Very pleasant staff. Very clean area. There is grass all around the area to include between the sites. We didn't have any problem with jacks sinking. Would stay here again. We camped at St. Peters' 370 Lakeside Park in a Motorhome.

Nashville East / Lebanon KOA (formerly Countryside Resort), Lebanon, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a Good Sam rate and includes tax. As stated before, this is a good overnight or weekend stop. Easy on and off of I-40. Interior roads and sites are gravel. The electric is OK. Our site had a fried electric plug which we reported to the office, and they had a gentleman come down and fix it right away. Couldn't ask for more. There are some trees so if you want shade ask when you make reservations. Satellite is not available from all sites so you will need to ask but antenna brings in all the major stations out of Nashville. Would stay here again. We camped at Nashville East / Lebanon KOA (formerly Countryside Resort) in a Motorhome.

Dandridge Point RV Resort On The Lake, Dandridge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The total per night including tax is $46.50. Small campground with level gravel sites, great electric, good water pressure. Except for 1 pull-thru site (which would accommodate a big rig) the sites are back-in. There is no bath house, no playground and no pool. Good location overlooking Douglas Lake not far from I-40 (exit 415 or 417). The bridge from Dandridge (SR92) is two-lanes but narrow. I had to pull the passenger mirror in. It is 8 miles from the Bush Beans cafe and general store/museum. It is about 16 miles (via US411) from Serierville/Pigeon Forge. Nice quiet location. Good restaurant and bar on-site, with deck overlooking lake. Boat ramp access and docks. Very friendly folks. They also have villas that are rented if family coming without RVs. Would recommend reservations. We camped at Dandridge Point RV Resort On The Lake in a Motorhome.

Creekwood Farm RV Park, Waynesville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Our first time at this campground but it was recommended by friends who stay here regularly. Stayed 8 nights: loved our creekside site. Yes, this cost more than the sites not on the creek. Well graveled sites throughout with full hook-ups, including cable TV. Free Wi-Fi from the site. Some sites are shaded and some are in the open. Very clean campground and well maintained. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The individual bathrooms with private showers are beautifully maintained. Small recreation hall with laundry facility. Very convenient to I-40 with Ashville to the east and Sieverville, Tennessee 75 miles west. Best of all is being in the Smokies with Maggie Valley down the road. This is a quiet campground without a pool or playground: probably limits the number of children here. None here during our stay. We enjoyed our stay very much: will return and will recommend. We camped at Creekwood Farm RV Park in a Motorhome.
