Woody Mountain Campground & RV Park, Flagstaff, Arizona

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Under new ownership since we last visited. A very wooded quiet park. Out of the bustle of Flagstaff, but close enough for convenient shopping. Good wifi and "air" TV channels. We camped at Woody Mountain Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Activities of the University in Flagstaff. Good shopping and restaurants in town. A Walmart and other stores in a mall on your side of town. If lots of traffic and confusing streets stress you out -- stay in camp, or don't go any further than Walmart.

Canyon Gateway RV Park, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

A lot of money to pay for parking on gravel with no grass, no picnic table. Trucks at the Love's station just a few feet away on the road and cackling all night. No shade against the August sun. Ask for a lot 29A to 53A - away from the road. These lots also have some shade and tables. We camped at Canyon Gateway RV Park in a Motorhome.

Willard Bay State Park - Willow Creek Campground (no hookups), Willard, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

A very nice park with nature trails and wild life about. (Deer, birds, etc) The state needs to build a wall between the park and highway. It is very noisy with the interstate traffic. If not for that, I would rate this at a 10. We camped at Willard Bay State Park - Willow Creek Campground (no hookups) in a Motorhome.

Anderson Camp , Eden, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This is a pretty park, with lots of amenities, but the sites are way too close together. Ours was not very level. Lots of highway noise and a crop duster plane woke us very early in the morning and kept working for an hour. We camped at Anderson Camp in a Motorhome.

Very large, level sites. Could use a tree, maybe a little grass and better wifi service. Minor issues for this price and quiet location. We camped at Round Valley RV Park (formerly Challis Valley RV Resort) in a Motorhome.

Viento State Park, Hood River, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

If noise keeps you awake at night, you might consider this: the railroad is very busy, and sounds its horn near the camp area; and there is highway noise on the other side other side of the camp area. However, the park is beautiful. It is convenient to find. It is clean, the sites are well spaced for good since of privacy and elbow room. I believe they are all back-ins, so one might want to check the depth of the sites vs the size of your RV. Sites are well shaded, level and comfortable. Sites have water and electric hook-ups. There is river access for recreation purposes. The system seems to be: go in and choose a spot, then return to the kiosk and follow the self-register instructions. A nice park. Just be aware of the noise problem. We camped at Viento State Park in a Motorhome.

Trail In RV Campground, Lakehead, California

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This is a park under new ownership. They have made many improvements, but it still needs a lot of TLC. It is a small, quiet park, and is a good over-night value with Passport America discount. Pool was not usable. Wi fi system was down. Had trouble getting electricity to work on two different sites. Manager very helpful in helping solve our set-up problems. We camped at Trail In RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Redding is 17 miles to the south. Lakes near by. Will be a quiet restful park, and as the new owners keep improving it will be a nice small park. For now, plan on a bit of isolation.
