This is a new RV park and resort built by the Iowa Dept. of Natural Resources. The RV park as well as the whole resort is still being finished, but what we experienced indicates it will be nice. All the sites are easy to get in and out of. The streets and sites are all paved. Many have a view of the lake. There is a lot of space between your neighbors. Presently there is no landscaping or trees to provide shade or screening, but I'm sure it's planned. There are no shower facilities. For friends without RV's, the resort has 28 cabins (1,2 & 4 bedroom units) near the RV park and a 105 room motel. The lodge/motel has 2 restaurants (full bar), an indoor water park, and over 4300 sq. ft. of meeting rooms. In addition there are boat ramps, beach, walking/bike trails and an 18-hole golf course. Your rental fee includes four passes per day to the water park. We will definitely stay here again.

Unlike the previous reviewer, we stayed here, but never again. The owners need to spend more time maintaining the park. The sewer connection was just a hole in the ground, in fact I had trouble finding it because the grass hadn't been cut for weeks. Water and sewer were together, but the electric was on the other side. The sites are not level, are narrow, and not clean. The best sites (and there weren't many) are taken by seasonal renters. The owners made sure you knew if any rules were broken, they would not hesitate to kick you out. Yet, the family next to us had 2 dogs, that left their "calling cards" on our space. The old campers, motor homes, and broken down cars made us feel like we were camping in a salvage yard. We're new to RVing, so we haven't stayed in a lot of parks, but this one was the worst (so far).
