Savannah South KOA, Richmond Hill, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice KOA: on a lake with ducks and swans that roost in the trees in the middle of the lake. It was very quiet even though they get a lot of overnight campers from the interstate nearby. I never heard any of them leaving early in the morning even though they would be mostly gone by the time I woke-up. The office staff are very nice. We camped at Savannah South KOA in a Travel Trailer.

A Big Wheel RV Park, Saint Marys, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

My husband and I stayed here twice this summer to visit our son stationed at King's Bay Naval Base. We enjoyed both our stays. The owners are very friendly and the park is very clean and quiet. There are cats and chickens and a dog and rooster who are the camp mascots. I never was bothered by the rooster's wake up call or by the bikers from the bar on the highway by the campground as was a prior reviewer. It met our needs perfectly and we would stay again without hesitation. We camped at A Big Wheel RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Fort McAllister State Park, Richmond Hill, Georgia

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This was a nice state park with the peace and quiet I love. The campground was a long way from the road and the front of the park and is set in a nice patch of forest with marshes around it. We camped at Fort McAllister State Park in a Travel Trailer.
