This resort was awesome: staff was friendly, pool was warm, what more can you ask for? We went to the "Summer Celebration" in Muskegon most nights; this is the only full hookup resort in all of Muskegon. It was perfect: Pop Evil, Saving Abel, Joan Jet, Barenaked Ladies, Counting Crows, Billy Squier, Heart, Shinedown and lots more (some country too). Our son is too young for Michigan Adventure yet but when he is old enough: the park during the day and Concerts at night. Then we get to come back to a beautiful campsite! There are a few things that need to be adjusted, don't get me wrong it wasn't 100% but it is their first season. I would suggest: shower doors and benches, garbage boxes (like at the Marina), a swing set and a set dog-walk area. The grass isn't fully in yet but you can tell they spent allot of money to get what they had, and in the future it will be lush grass! But what great service: they delivered our ice, the owners came out in their golf carts and talked to us multiple times to make sure everything was great, and it was! This will be an every year "Summer Celebration" for us. I just hope Muskegon doesn't change their concerts!

This was our first time camping as a family. I must say we had high expectations, but even after camping at different places I still think that Jellystone fell short in a few areas. First there was only one swing for our 13 month old. This was hard since there was a line of people trying to use it on Memorial Day weekend. The other major disappointment was how dirty it was. I realize that because there are a lot of trees that grass doesn't grow as well, but there was hardly any grass, and our son wanted to play in the dirt. During the weekend there was a lot of theft. They had 2 pages filled with stolen items. We only had a pack of cigarettes stolen from the picnic table, probably due to a 100lbs rottweiler barking from in the camper. They blamed it on locals. (I am a local and I think it was people in the park.) During the night they had to talk to a group of younger campers multiple times about being quiet and not swearing. They also were talking about stealing coolers and driving drunk around this 1 cop town. (I was hoping they would; there are city, county, and state cops in this little resort town. They would have been nabbed in minutes).
