Mystic KOA, North Stonington, Connecticut

Date of Stay: April, 2010 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

I happen to be a seasonal at this park and have no idea what that person in November was talking about. Why would a swimming pool be open in November in Connecticut? We left the park mid October of 2009, and everything was clean, tidy and in order. This is one of the most beautiful KOA's there is. We love this park. The whole laundry area has been re-done and all the people who work here bend over backwards to help you with whatever you may need. As far as the I-95 noise: it is much more noticable in the fall when the leaves are off the trees. Some people are NEVER happy: the person who wrote in November sounds like they are one of these. We camped at Mystic KOA in a Motorhome.

Tropic Winds RV Resort (55+ Park), Harlingen, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2009 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Big sites. Only campground in the valley with sites this size. We were supposed to stay for 2 weeks and move on. After comparing other campgrounds in the area we decided to stay here for the winter. People are nice, lots to do. The only thing I hate and was not aware of is The weather. There is ALWAYS a wind (not breeze) which is very annoying if you are not used to it. Obviously it is not the campgrounds fault..lol but none the less. I think I would have avoided "the valley" if I were aware of this wind. We camped at Tropic Winds RV Resort (55+ Park) in a Motorhome.

Hammonasset Beach State Park, Madison, Connecticut

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Large sites at this State Park: great for beach camping. Only drawback for us was they do not allow pets. They do in the park itself but not in the campground. Bathroom facilities leave a bit to be desired. We camped at Hammonasset Beach State Park in a Motorhome.
