Onapa RV Park and Campground, Checotah, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

This park is easy to get to from I-40. The new owners are working on updating it. It was a good stop-over for us and we would stop here again should we pass this way. Pull-thru sites were easy to get in and out of. For the money, you can't beat it. We camped at Onapa RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Double D RV Park, Texola, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

This is definitely a "no frills" park, but a good stop going from point A to point B. Very close to I-40. Entrance is dirt and can be muddy if it has rained. Sites are easy to get in and out of and has FHU. Nothing is around to see or do. There is a restaurant on the property, but it was closed when we were there. We camped at Double D RV Park in a Motorhome.

Cactus RV Park, Tucumcari, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This was a great stop-over for us. They have several sites and we were well pleased with our site. Management was very helpful. Cable and Wifi was good and secure. Sadly, this entire town needs a face-lift. Being on the historic Route 66, one would think this area could capitalize on the history and make it a thriving town. We camped at Cactus RV Park in a Motorhome.

Maumelle COE, Little Rock, Arkansas

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

This park was a pleasant surprise. We arrived earlier than we had made reservations for and was able to go into section E - which is all walk-ins. We were able to stay on the site our entire time. Ask about your gray water at gate. Some sites have more shade than others. We would visit this park again if we are in the area. I would give them a "10" if they would have had FHU, like some of the other COE parks. Also, if you are in a large rig, we found the dump station in section B easier to get in and out of. We camped at Maumelle COE in a Motorhome.

Cherry Blossom RV and Mobile Home Park (formerly Pecan Point RV Park), Dothan, Alabama

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Great for a short stay. Manager very helpful. PA Discount was only good for 3 nights, then rate was $31.00. Located right on RT. 231. Grounds kept very clean. Some sites are unlevel. Would stay again if passing through. We camped at Cherry Blossom RV and Mobile Home Park (formerly Pecan Point RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Twin Grove RV Resort & Cottages, Pine Grove, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park. A very busy park and reservations should be made in advance, especially during the summer months. This is a "family" park with lots to do for the kids. Clean and neat and big sites for larger rigs. We camped at Twin Grove RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

R&D Family Campground, Milford, Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

This is definitely a campground. The owners are definitely wanting to keep it that way and work very hard to keep it neat and clean. Lots of trees. Entrance to the park from the main highway is sharp and downhill. Lots of workers staying in the park, but don't bother the individuals staying over night. We camped at R&D Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Mount Pocono Campground, Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Don't be confused about the road to the park. You will go through a neighborhood. The road to the park has "speed dips" and can be a little rough. Owners seem to be trying very hard to keep the park looking good. Sites can be a little tight to get into with a large rig. We camped at Mount Pocono Campground in a Motorhome.

Travelers Woods, Bernardston, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice and clean park. Rate reflects part of a Passport discount. Very friendly staff. Few FHU sites. They do have a "honey" wagon that goes around once a week on sites that have W/E only. You need to make sure of directions to the park, because if you enter at one end, there is a bridge with only a 11' clearance. I-91 does run along side, but the traffic noise isn't that bad. We would stay here again. We camped at Travelers Woods in a Motorhome.

Walkabout Camp & RV Park, Woodbine, Georgia

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

The rate reflects Passport America rate. We stayed here several years ago under King George name. New owners are working hard to keep the park looking good. They are very friendly and helpful. This was a good location to check out tourist attractions in the area. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Walkabout Camp & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wasatch View Estates and RV Park, Ogden, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very clean park. It is a mixture of permanent mobile home owners with RV sites throughout the park. Very close to I-15 and sights in the area. Pool is nice and big. They do have some set times for "adults" only during the day. Sites are large. Management is very friendly and helpful. Would have rated higher if there was more shade. WiFi is accessible, but you need to be close to the office. We would stay here again. We camped at Wasatch View Estates and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Triple J RV Park, Russell, Kansas

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Great stop-over park if you are going from A to B. Big Rig friendly. Owner very friendly and accommodating. Good restaurant very close, plus other "fast food" places. Park can be a little dusty sometimes: depending on your location/site. We have stayed here before and would probably stay again if going across Kansas on I-70. Internet good, but not secure. Rate is the Passport fee. We camped at Triple J RV Park in a Motorhome.

Shady Grove Campground, Seibert, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Sadly, this park needs some TLC. Owner is very friendly and helpful. Internet is secure. Roads are dirt surrounding the park which causes a lot of dust. Rate reflects the Passport rate and is high for what you get. We used only as a stop-over going across Kansas. Easy access off I-70. We camped at Shady Grove Campground in a Motorhome.

Cedar Ridge COE, Lawrence, Kansas

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $9.00
Overall Rating:

This is our second time to visit this park and we will probably come back should we visit the area again. The only drawback is that it is 20 miles from Lawrence, but if you just want to relax and chill, this is the place. Dump station is well situated on the property for incoming and outgoing traffic. We camped here in a 45 ft. motorhome and the sites can handle us. We camped at Cedar Ridge COE in a Motorhome.

Binder Park, Jefferson City, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This park was a pleasant surprise. We camped here in a 45ft. motorhome and found some sites to be very accommodating. Some sites are very shaded and in need of being trimmed. The host was very helpful and pleasant. Reservations should be made due to the limited sites. Reservations can be made through the campground host(recommended) or the park office. Would stay here again. FYI, GPS directions were a little confusing. We camped at Binder Park in a Motorhome.
