Twin Creek RV Resort, Gatlinburg, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

A premier RV park. Paved roads and sites. Lots of trees and shade. Great spacing between sites. All sites seem to be back-ins, some back to back. Nice store, laundry, and pool with hot tub. Quiet and not as noisy as a KOA or Jellystone but price about the same. Not an adult only park but rest-full. Trolley to city stops at park entrance. A great convenience. Would stay here again. We camped at Twin Creek RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Branson Lakeside RV Park, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here a week and very hot. No shade and sun beats down on you. Would suggest full sun sites be used for overnight stays and shaded spots used for those that reserve for longer stays. Easy in and out but park combines with lake activities so lots of traffic and some noise from vehicles. Curb side trash pickup is a good convenience. Would come back if a shaded site was available. We camped at Branson Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

St. Louis West / Historic Route 66 KOA, Eureka, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here several years ago and are amazed at the improvements since then. Owners and staff working hard to make this a premier KOA site. Work still in progress but big improvements overall. Suggest more emphasis be placed on wifi. A big use item to stay connected. We camped at St. Louis West / Historic Route 66 KOA in a Motorhome.

Highland Campgrounds, Dalton, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Following directions in the Trailer Life Directory left us lost. A phone call advised us one of their campground signs was missing causing us to miss a turn. This is all on very narrow, hilly back roads and now we needed to turn around, to get on the correct dirt access road and find the campground. Registered (see below) and then down a narrow steep dirt/gravel road that was less then fun; although backing into our site was a snap. Most all sites are in heavy wooded areas with little to no natural light. Had to use our trailer lights during the day. All services are back up this steep dirt/gravel access road including the pool, rest rooms, showers, laundry (1 washer/dryer) and garbage site. The garbage site had stuff all around and not a clean or attractive area. Trailer Life says this is a Good Sam park, but no signs posted either on the road or in the office area that I saw. Did not receive an itemized copy of my registration. Will not stay here again. We camped at Highland Campgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Easy access with excellent signs and directions. Well laid out park and very friendly staff. Level and roomy sites and hookups. A good rest away from highway sounds. Will stay here again for sure. We camped at Big Red Barn RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
