Stayed here during Hurricane Rita evacuation. Very small sites, our canopy was almost bumping next door neighbors rig. We were in a 29ft trailer. Fishing pond very nice and well stocked. Pool was nice as well. Community Room was beautiful and nice place for us to retreat in evenings. We only ran into a couple of problems. Laundry room only had 3 washers and 4 dryers. Dryers didn't work well (took many rounds of quarters to get clothes dry). There isn't enough sidewalks in the place for walking. To get to laundry room, one must clomp through high grass. The sites are VERY hard to pull into. We had a back in site, the first one we tried was very difficult to fit in. We tried a second one with better luck, but be prepared to work just to fit camper in the site.

We evacuated from Hurricane Rita to this park. They were SO kind to us. Gave us discounted rate (not the $26 rate I listed as nightly rate). The place is SPOTLESS. The bath house we used only had one shower, but it was never in use when I needed it. The bath house was as clean as my own bathroom at home (VERY VERY CLEAN). Nice pool. Picnic table at pull-thru site. Parking area for extra vehicle (we had pick up truck and car). Beautiful trees, convenient area, clean laundry room with 6 washers and 4 dryers. We were there an entire week and it really felt like home. We will make a point to travel there again. Bruce (the owner) was always around and working hard to make our stay nice.

Clean, nicely maintained park. Bathrooms clean, pool was clean although cold. Restrooms were clean as were showers. Patio at site was very nice, although weeds were a little high around the bbq. Playground was large and my 12 and 7 year old had fun playing there. The whole place felt safe. It was easy to get to I10 and 35 from the park. In my opinion it was a little expensive since there was no cable available at our site. Not sure if all sites have no cable, but it wasn't available at ours. That's what made me rate park an 8. Overall, a good choice for a base camp.

This is the nicest campground we have stayed in. We were there in June 2004. The landscaping is beautiful. Great location near restaurants and shopping. Old town looks really nice next door, we didn't have time to go there, but it looked nice. Bathrooms were usually clean. My daughter and I encountered one toilet that had human waste smeared on front and all over seat, but it was cleaned up quickly. The showers were clean. The game room was somewhat lame. Some of the games didn't work and not much was in there but that wasn't a big deal to us. The swimming pool is beautiful, but be warned, the water has a very salty taste (not sure why). This was very off putting to my two kids. My son didn't really want to swim because of the taste. VERY NICE PLACE to stay and we will stay again on next Florida trip.

It's been a couple of years since we stayed here, so maybe it has improved. HOWEVER, it was one of the ugliest parks we have every stayed in. The "fishing pond" was disgustingly dirty. We didn't feel safe at night. Grounds extremely unkempt, tall weeds everywhere, even at our site! We didn't get in pool, though it did look nice. That's the best thing I can say. We really felt duped. The internet website for this place made it look really nice. Boy did we feel stupid.
