Village of Trees RV Resort, Declo, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Very pretty well manicured park with conveniences. Easy on and off I-84. Escorts to your site. Level gravel sites with a nice lawn in between. Establishment has fuel and propane services as well as a grill that serves hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, pizza and breakfast items. Definitely caters to the travelers. Would highly recommend if in the area. We camped at Village of Trees RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Comfortable for an overnight stop and rest. Very large gravel parking lot with very easy maneuvering for bigger rigs. There is an excellent little restaurant within walking distance. Would stay again if traveling I-80 and need a resting spot. We camped at Western Hills Campground in a Motorhome.

Sleepy Hollow RV Park, Wall, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Gravel rock and dirt sites with lawn and picnic table in between. Park adequate for an overnight stay. Very very limited shade areas in a very summer hot area. Easy walk to Wall Drug Store but would recommend the Cactus Restaurant across the street to dine rather than Wall Drug. Beware if the lady starts mowing the lawn: she does not put the shield down and spits rocks which could damage your property. One rock hit my husband while he was sitting outside. We camped at Sleepy Hollow RV Park in a Motorhome.

Famil-E-Fun Campground and RV Park, Mitchell, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Attractive park just a few miles west of town. Although surrounded by open cornfields, the park is loaded with beautiful mature trees. Gravel and dirt roads and sites with grass in between. Sites fairly level. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. We camped at Famil-E-Fun Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Veterans Memorial County Park & Campground, West Salem, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This is a pretty city park with camping areas. However, there are no "RV PADS". Your site is on the grass next to the water/electric hookups. Sites have not leveled, rather they slope, rise, and dip as the natural land contours. We could not lower our jacks due to the dips and holes. Interior roads exceptionally bad with ruts and holes. Scraped many trees limbs driving our motorhome thru the park. It is pretty to look at but was not comfortable for us. We camped at Veterans Memorial County Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Waupaca Camping Park, LLC, Waupaca, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park claims "big rig friendly" but we do not agree. The roads are on hills, very narrow, and partly paved, partly dirt with HUGE deep ruts and wash outs. Traffic directions rules not enforced. We had great difficulty driving to our site and meeting a vehicle going the wrong way. Trees so thick we could not get satellite, even though we requested a satellite friendly site as previous reviewer advised. We were merely told that they didn't know if a site could get satellite or not. Pads are concrete and spaced nicely apart from neighbor, however, maneuvering a 40 ft motorhome in around the trees with such a narrow roadway with RV's parked directly across from you right up to the roadway is quite a challenge. Overpriced and definitely will not come back. We camped at Waupaca Camping Park, LLC in a Motorhome.

Kewaunee Village RV Park and Campground, Kewaunee, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful well groomed park. Large roomy sites on grass with easy access for motorhomes. Lots of shade without hindering satellite reception. Quaint little fishing town with a nice family restaurant a mile from the RV park: called Krumples. Good food at a cheap price. I would definitely stay here again if in this area! We camped at Kewaunee Village RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Island Resort Casino RV Park, Harris, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Would have rated this park higher if sites were more level. Sites are paved and some are very long. Takes some careful maneuvering for the big motorhomes with tow vehicle as turning area into site is somewhat narrow but can be done. Sites are sloped down so need to raise front of rig a lot to level up. Otherwise, beautifully surrounded by trees well hidden from casino traffic. RV park is not visible from highway. Must turn in at casino, drive past the casino to the end of the parking lot where an RV park sign and left arrow leads you down a little road into the hidden park, which is comprised of 2 sections. The first section you come to has more level sites, but the second section has the bathhouse-your choice. Pick your site and register at the casino. Very reasonable rate of $15 and a very nice casino. We camped at Island Resort Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

Bay Mills RV Park, Brimley, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Interior roads in poor condition; dirt and gravel with lots of deep ruts. Sites fairly level but we arrived after a thunderstorm and large pools of water in between and around sites. Grass in very poor condition. Sites are fairly close but does not inhibit slides. Lots of mosquitoes. Way overpriced for what you get. Nothing about this campground makes me want to come back. We camped at Bay Mills RV Park in a Motorhome.

Country Village RV Park, Ishpeming, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Nice staff. Located off main Hwy behind Mc Donalds. Very disappointed in our site for the price we paid. We asked for a full hookup pull thru. Our site resembled the corner of a dirt and gravel land parcel. Zero shade-not a bush, plant, or tree-just motorhomes parked on land. Very unattractive. Very hot when we arrived then it rained overnight so lots of dirt and mud outside in the morning. Way overpriced for what we had. We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Little River Casino Resort, Manistee, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

A clean quiet park. Roomy sites for big rigs and tows. Clean restrooms and laundry. Not enough full hook up sites to accommodate us-we asked for one week and due to weekend reservations, we couldn't get one. Most of the sites are water and electric only. Grassy areas between sites, however, the grass is in poor condition. Would have rated higher if not for these two negative issues. We camped at Little River Casino Resort in a Motorhome.

Grand Casino Hinckley RV Resort, Hinckley, Minnesota

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Although this is a clean park with roomy sites, it is overrated by Good Sam's 10/10/10. Very little shade available from random small trees within park. Lots of mosquitos from small stagnant water pond in center of park. Nice casino but food sources there are mediocre at best. Due to $20 monthly rate, lots of long term campers taking up the better sites within the park. All sites are back-in but long enough for big rigs. We camped at Grand Casino Hinckley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Dakotah Meadows RV Park, Prior Lake, Minnesota

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park with level concrete sites long enough for big motorhomes and tow vehicles. Beautiful casino with great food options. A little overpriced for a casino RV park which are traditionally cheaper. Only negative is the lack of enforcement of the pet rules. Lots of people not leashing their dogs and our small dog was attacked while on a leash at our campsite by a dog from across the street 3 sites down. Office promised to advise security. Otherwise, a nice park. Within 20 miles of Mall of America. We camped at Dakotah Meadows RV Park in a Motorhome.

Meteor Crater RV Park, Winslow, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Nice clean park right off I-40. Easy on and off. Park has a security gate into the park. A little tight entering but we made it in a 40 ft motorhome with a tow. Would need to unhook tow to do anything as there is nothing within walking distance. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Motorhome.
