Cross Creek RV Park, Maggie Valley, North Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park and nice location for activities and events around the mountains. Staff pleasant and present. Compared to our other travels across the USA, this nightly fee was high, considering no pool, no trash pick up, no shower/bath houses, no golf carts allowed, no fire rings except in thin strip of gravel (no paved sites) which puts it too close to rig. Nice loop for bike/walking path. Average, satisfactory park - just not outstanding or extraordinary for the price. We camped at Cross Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Horne Lake RV Park (formerly Osprey First In Florida RV Park), Yulee, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Perfect midway point for us traveling from Orlando area back to NC. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Older campground with extra long sewer lines needed for sewer hookup. Sites really close. Pet friendly with trails and a lake. Great location right off the interstate without noise from the road. Some rundown, permanent sites there but for overnight, had everything we needed and price was GREAT! We camped at Horne Lake RV Park (formerly Osprey First In Florida RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Orlando / Kissimmee KOA, Kissimmee, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful and well maintained park. All KOA staff always doing something to keep it maintained--mowing, clipping palm leaves, decorating. Excellent location to all parks, events, shopping and restaurants--several within walking distance. Large sites and big rig friendly. Trash pick up all day. Pool and hot tub open 23 hours - awesome! We stayed in the area for treatment being received at Florida Hospital, almost two weeks, and the staff was quick to check in on us and offered to help if we needed anything with hooking up or disassembling when time to leave. Disappointed with Wi-Fi reception but all the other things exceeded our expectations, hence the 10 rating. We camped at Orlando / Kissimmee KOA in a Motorhome.

Loretta Lynn's Family Campground, Hurricane Mills, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We just happened upon this park. Intended to just stay one night, but the campground was so nice that we stayed a second night. No internet nor satellite/cable TV, but there was so much to do and see in the area that we didn't mind. People everywhere were so nice and hospitable. Not even big Loretta fans, but after staying here and meeting some of her family and touring the home and museum: am a fan now. We would absolutely stay again! We camped at Loretta Lynn's Family Campground in a Motorhome.
