R V Relay Station, Franklin, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This park is small, friendly and very clean. Bathhouse and laundry were cleanest I have seen. Not a lot of shade available but sites were decent. Management went out of their way to help us with a problem we had with our RV. The only problem we encountered was a couple that spent hours riding around in their golf cart drinking and refusing to get out of the way of traffic. I read a previous review of this park and the poster either was at a different park or has a vendetta against someone at the park. No one was rude. We never saw anyone with a gun and no one in the park was talked about. (Why would someone stay 8 months if they thought the place was so terrible?) We were there for several days and have no complaints. We will most definitely return to this park on our next trip through to the valley. We camped at R V Relay Station in a Travel Trailer.

Fort Massac State Park, Metropolis, Illinois

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Not a place I want to camp in again. Had to change sites 2 times because of problems with electric. Bathhouse was not clean. Camp host unfriendly and unwelcoming. The only redeeming feature was the Fort was within walking distance. We camped at Fort Massac State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Duck Creek RV Park, Paducah, Kentucky

Date of Stay: January, 2009 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

The first night we were here we were guided to our spot. We decided to stay another night and there was no record of us having paid or registering. Seems the attendant didn't report it. The bathrooms were spotless and nice but other than that, this is a place I would only use again if I had to. When we paid the second day we could barely hear the clerk over the TV and she was so busy watching her show she could barely pay attention to us. We camped at Duck Creek RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
