Adventureland Campground, Altoona, Iowa

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very busy (it serves a large amusement park) and starting to look a little dated but overall a good park. Signage is horrible, however. From the street entry to site location in the park, it is hard to find what you are looking for. Two u-turns later, we found our assigned parking spot. Easy for us to do, but not for everyone. Sites are level but the paving may be heavily cracked. Many sewer connections are elevated and present problems dumping. Dog parks (one for small breeds, one for the rest) are new and in excellent condition. They are underused as dog waste can be found in other open areas. We camped at Adventureland Campground in a Motorhome.

Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground, Apple Valley, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent location, clean campground, all utilities worked. Nicer than most commercial campgrounds with nearly all of the amenities. Reservations are a must as 100% full in the Summer seems to be the norm. We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Minnesota Zoo is across the main road. Lebanon Hills Park is huge, with lots of outdoor activities available. All the shopping you want/need is about 3.5 miles South of the park.

Overall Rating:

Full every night we were here. Easy access to I-25 but far enough away that there is no road noise. Good dog park. Clubhouse is relatively new and very large. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.

High Desert RV Park, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Vice nice, very clean, and surprisingly quiet for a park on I-40. Park sits below the level of I-40 and misses most of the sound. Three dog parks for your dogs and trash pickup is in the same area. Sites mostly and good water and electric. We camped at High Desert RV Park in a Motorhome.

Bayfield Riverside RV Park, Bayfield, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Nice little campground - about 50% long term stays. Very well kept but sites were unlevel. Road noise minimal. Trout fishing was fun but catch and release only. No dog park but waste collection containers scattered throughout the park. We camped at Bayfield Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Round Top Campground, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2005 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Over 50% of sites are seasonal with many poorly maintained rigs. Overall campground shows lack of recent maintanence. I was with a medium sized group and campground reservation system was very poor. Often could not reach the office. Website was down for many months. Compared to other campgrounds in the area, does not fair well. Will not return. We camped at Round Top Campground in a Travel Trailer.
