Angel Lake RV Park, Wells, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We planned on staying here 1 night, ended up asking for a week, as our truck broke down and had to be towed 50 miles away. Stranded with no transportation, owners offered to take us to store, etc. Laundry and restrooms were spotless, park is in the desert, so was about what was expected. Many long term people who were very friendly and took care of their areas. Best part was owner took time off from a busy Saturday and took us to pick up our truck, a 100 mile trip. That was wonderful. They might be a little more forceful about their pet policies, had a scary incident with our little dog. Under circumstances it was the best place in town to stay. We camped at Angel Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We had never been to park, just read reviews, when we got there decided to stay a week as there was lots to see in area. Park is very clean, and well taken of. Sites have large trees needed since it was hot. Very friendly long term people who have well cared for sites. Fitness center, laundry, most things needed. Can walk to grocery, drug store, all close. Nice town, nice people. We camped at WillowWind RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed 4 nights, our site was new so no trees, but good view of mountains. Personnel are super friendly and very good at their jobs. Lots of amenities if you wanted to use, great gift shop. Park was very clean and nicely laid out. Great base camp for Capital Reef touring. 2 laundries, nice restrooms. Loved how peaceful campground was. Want to go back again soon. We camped at Thousand Lakes RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Rainbows End RV Park, Sequim, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We picked this park because it offered tent and RV, to be near tent sites we had to have a site with no sewer (which we agreed to) and tent area sounded nice on internet. Upon arriving, we were sent to back of park next to maintenance yard, and sort of lacking in a defined camp area. Told everything was good," put your tent where you want etc. This is not a good park for tents, or RVs road noise is bad and ruins environment. Also in tent area were a motorhome, RV, truck, boat and misc., this is not camping. At almost the end of our stay they came and told us we have to move tent, so they could put in a motorhome. We left for day after our tent camper left too and found they had crammed in not one but two motorhomes. What a disappointment this whole place was, sites are extremely close together, some slides almost touch, and lots of tow vehicles parked all over the place. Park is pretty and well maintained, but it is not worth the money they charge and they do not stick with what they tell you. Their explanation is well we got busy, so things change, that is poor business practice. Know your park and its limitations and book accordingly. Will not come back here ever! We camped at Rainbows End RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Ancient Redwoods RV Park, Redcrest, California

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Went to this park on reviews on this site. It is great, hosts and owner were most cordial and willing to help with any questions or problems. Sites are level and clean, restrooms spotless, (no showers still), which did not bother us. Great base camp for touring the area, and owners told us all the best places to see. Overall a nice quiet, restful spot. They are planning a lot of additional features which will only add to your camping enjoyment. 2 thumbs up! We camped at Ancient Redwoods RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Park at the River, Joseph, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is our second year for visiting this park, they are probably the most congenial hosts around. When we did some damage to our travel trailer, they offered tools and time to help us out, which was greatly appreciated. Park is clean and nice, when completely full seems a little crowded, but that was only weekends. Close to lots of activities and great scenery. Pretty far off the beaten path, but worth the drive. Did not like to have to pay for showers, at the rate they charge per night, but solved that with using our own. Everyone should check out this area if even close to Northeast Oregon. Beautiful! We camped at Park at the River in a Travel Trailer.
