Campground at Barnes Crossing, Tupelo, Mississippi

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Ok - we just got here today and already it's a 10. Don't worry about the roads, they've all been re-paved. The sites are all pretty level and nicely separated with flowers as well as grade separation. The cable is great and the wifi is superb! The location is quiet and peaceful and the staff are wonderful. Lots of trees, a real country feel but you are around the corner from a huge mall and a Cracker Barrel and fuel and of course close to the King's birthplace. Thankuvermuch. We camped at Campground at Barnes Crossing in a Motorhome.

Springridge Mobile Estates & RV Park, Clinton, Mississippi

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Ok, here's the deal. They say in the books and their ads that they have cable and wifi. They have neither. They don't really care if they do or not. The pavement is broken and the spots are side by side and not all that roomy. The covers were falling off of the electrical boxes. You have school buses pulling in at 6 AM to pick up the kids that live in the mobile homes. They don't take cash - the reason given is that they don't want cash in the office because they are so close to Jackson. Don't know how Jackson feels about it, but it didn't make us feel real secure. If it's the only place to stay due to distance traveled then you are ok for a night (I guess). We won't be back. We camped at Springridge Mobile Estates & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Redwood Coast Cabins & RV Resort (formerly Eureka Campground), Eureka, California

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

I guess it's a good place to see Eureka. It's typical of KOAs in most places with dirt roads and sites. This one is a bit on the old and worn side and the grass needed mowing when we were here. Cable TV is iffy and does not have many channels and the wi-fi is really bad. People are nice, which is always a good thing. Will try someplace else next time. We camped at Redwood Coast Cabins & RV Resort (formerly Eureka Campground) in a Motorhome.

Carlsbad RV Park and Campground, Carlsbad, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

I tried to post this review earlier and was not able to due to the slow internet connection at this park. Looks like you have a great connection, but there is no bandwidth. That's just the WiFi - the park itself is a dump. You are greeted by a row of old beat up trailers crammed shoulder to shoulder as you round the office after signing in. That started it off bad. The roads are dusty and tight corners are everywhere. Sure, you have good 50 amp and good cable, but ambiance? Nope. Lots of perms, which is fine, but these were up front and messy. Would not stay here again. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Gunsmoke RV Park, Dodge City, Kansas

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

I do not know how this park got a 9 from Good Sam. The staff were fine, and the amenities worked fine, but it is dusty and dirty and the roads are atrocious. The bumps and rocks in the road made it hard to walk! Not sure if I would return. We camped at Gunsmoke RV Park in a Motorhome.

Deer Creek Valley RV Park, Topeka, Kansas

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This park is great. Really clean and well maintained. All amenities worked great. You feel like you're going out into the country, but you end up right by the freeway. A bit of noise, but not obnoxious. We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lakeside Casino Resort RV Park, Osceola, Iowa

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

A little bit old, but very serviceable. There are no restrooms, so don't bother if you need them. There is Wi-Fi and it worked fine. There is also cable. The park is laid out great, easy in and easy out. It's no longer a Terrible's, just Lakeside Casino. The casino was good, on a faux riverboat. It was floating though. Had fun. Great for one night. We camped at Lakeside Casino Resort RV Park in a Motorhome.

Amana Colonies RV Park, Amana, Iowa

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

A good base for visiting the Amana Colonies, but man, is it dusty. There isn't anything else around, so this is what you get. No cable, but you get over the air signals. Wi-Fi worked ok. We were here a year ago and when it's busy, they pack you in like sardines. We had a little more room this time. Had fun watching the 13 lined squirrels darting around in the grass. We camped at Amana Colonies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Big River Resort (formerly Wabasha Motel and RV Park), Wabasha, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We had a great time here. The staff were great and the park is small but clean and neat, with all the amenities. Wi-Fi was great and cable worked fine. It was a great place to visit area attractions. We saw the Laura Ingalls Museum in Pepin, LARK Toys in Kellogg. The National Eagle Center in town was great and we even took a day and drove up to Redwing. Great little town! Lake Pepin is beautiful! Loved the place! We camped at Big River Resort (formerly Wabasha Motel and RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Stoney Creek RV Resort, Osseo, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

No doubt in my mind, this is a 10. Huge sites with all the amenities. Very quiet and the staff was great. Lots of activities going on like Christmas in July! Great place for a family get together. Visited Dell's Mill just north of Augusta. (Wish I could post a picture: look it up.) Ate at Moe's Almost World Famous Diner and had some pie at Norske Nook in Osseo. All great things to do! We camped at Stoney Creek RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Governors' RV Park and Campground, Casselton, North Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Like the other reviewers said: It's a big lot with hookups. But there are a few redeeming qualities. It's quick and easy, everything works, especially the Wi-Fi which was blistering fast. Fast enough to stream xfinity shows easily, so we didn't miss the fact that there is no cable. For one night, not a bad deal. Give it a shot. We camped at Governors' RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground, Apple Valley, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

If they had cable it would be a 10. A beautiful park with everything you could want. Quiet, close to Mall of America, a bit further to downtown, but worth it to be out in the country. Very clean and well maintained. If you don't need the 50 amps or the sewer hookup, go for the back part of the park. Wow, like being in the woods, tons of room back there. We checked out "The Landing" in Shakopee for a little history lesson and a walking tour through a great village with a great guide. Only 17 miles away and then on the way home went to one of the nicest casinos we've been to at Mystic Lake. Actually came home with most of our cash! Great place to camp: ry it. We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Bismarck KOA, Bismarck, North Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

A pretty darn good KOA! Like most KOAs it is overpriced, but the sites are shaded and separated by hedges, which is always a plus. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the only negatives were that the dumpsters were overfull and the wireless was not very good. Make sure to use your KOA coupon at Clarks for fuel, saved us 8 cents a gallon. We camped at Bismarck KOA in a Motorhome.

Red Trail Campground, Medora, North Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

There is not much to pick from in Medora, so we made it work. First the positives - Medora is charming, Theodore Roosevelt National Park is fabulous, the Medora Musical was great! The negatives, - you are packed in like sardines. It thought I was pulling into a pull through and the guide told me, no, someone else is behind you. Despite the crowded conditions, we had a great time. Oh, and this is the first campground we have ever stayed at where the office communicated with employees by calling them over a public address speaker! Buy some walkie talkies! We camped at Red Trail Campground in a Motorhome.

Billings Village RV Park, Billings, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This park has Back-in only spots. Not a big deal. All of the spots had a little lawn, all of the amenities worked well. If you're spending one night or visiting for a longer time, this is the place. If you need work done, check out Jim's Rv Repair listed on the campground flyer. Jim fixed a blown hose on our water heater in 15 minutes, also our entry door. Got us on the road before 9 AM! I have good thoughts about this place. We camped at Billings Village RV Park in a Motorhome.
