Caspar Beach RV Park, Mendocino, California

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Not a bad place for a group, like we had. A bunch of abalone divers and those willing to eat it. Great times and good food made up for a lot. The spaces are right on top of each other, and the number of easy to get at pull throughs is limited. Lots of smaller spots are available. Water pressure is horrible, and only 30 amp is available. Wi-Fi is so-so but better if you're near the antenna. We had a great time because of the group we were with and will return every year, but if we pulled in by ourselves would most likely be disappointed. We camped at Caspar Beach RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sac West RV Park and Campground, West Sacramento, California

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This place has been cleaned up over the last year. Very nicely done with new paint and patched pavement. Extremely helpful staff! We stay at KOAs just when necessary and this one is nearest to relatives so it meets the criteria. Sites are gravel, as with most KOA parks but it was nice and quiet even though plenty of folks were there. Had a problem with wi-fi but it was fixed by morning and worked fine. KOAs tend to be a bit pricey, but some are real nice - most of the nice ones are in states other than California. We camped at Sac West RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Flag City RV Resort, Lodi, California

Date of Stay: October, 2009 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

First the positives. Very friendly staff, activities in the club room (Monday night football) clean. That's it. It was not convenient for motorhome pull-through one nighters as was mentioned by others. All hook ups at rear of site. Had to un-hook to connect cable and sewer. Did not want to un-hook. Then, the space around the sewer/water connection was concrete with a patch of mud between the pedestal and the rig. Noticed this at many sites so it must be the sprinkler system. The Pads are very narrow and you have to walk through dirt to get to your patio (which is set up for trailers, just like the connections are). But here's the kicker: TL ad says that they have instant internet access at all sites. Nope. They don't. For 39 bucks a night, they really should set it up soon. We will go elsewhere next time. We camped at Flag City RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Premier RV Resorts of Eugene Oregon, Coburg, Oregon

Date of Stay: October, 2009 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

A really great park! The only downside is that it is near the freeway, but it is convenient. The Wi-Fi is a little slow but improvements are coming. The staff were courteous and friendly and the manager is a true gem. We stayed here on our way north and he went way out of his way to work out a computer problem we had. He spent the better part of an afternoon working on a solution to our connection difficulties. We enjoyed our stay here so much we have stopped by for another night on our way south. We camped at Premier RV Resorts of Eugene Oregon in a Motorhome.

Truly a 10. This park has it all. Casino nearby, nicely landscaped spots, quiet and peaceful. Workout room and indoor pool and the staff is exemplary. The Wild Animal park nearby is fantastic! Drive through and enjoy an up close view of tons of animals. Love this place. We camped at Seven Feathers RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Holiday RV Park, Phoenix, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Shame on all the grumblers about this place! It was clean and well managed. The staff were friendly and the pool was clean and inviting. If we had ignored the write-ups on Holiday, we could have stayed here for the 2 previous nights while we attended the Ashland Shakespeare Festival! It nice and quiet at Holiday. The freeway is there but we didn't notice it. There are nice shops near by and some decent Mexican food and Si Casa Flores next door. Give it a try. We camped at Holiday RV Park in a Motorhome.

Glenyan RV Park & Campground , Ashland, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Not worth it. Keep on going and stay in Phoenix. Glenyan was dusty and dirty and run down. Full of shabby semi-permanents. Lots of barking dogs and the proximity of the road (noisier than a freeway) made this a real drag. The pool was covered during a heat wave and looked to have been covered for months. We camped at Glenyan RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Premier RV Resorts of Redding , Redding, California

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The park was very clean and well designed, but with some space issues between sites. It has nicely landscaped with lots of trees and it appeared that almost all sites were shaded to some degree. The internet connection was not as robust as I would have hoped for, and the advertised "cable" channels were not there, but a clear signal from their satellite system and the 12 or so channels they did provide. All in all it is a nice quiet place to stop. One big minus was that someone had smoked inside or just outside the back door of the store when we went in to shop. It smelled like a bar from back in the day. I wouldn't give it a 10 like Trailer Life did, but it was ok. We camped at Premier RV Resorts of Redding in a Motorhome.
