Paradise Park Resort Campground, Old Orchard Beach, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

The park has a lot of seasonal park models. It's very emmaculate. Roads hard to get around. Some sites close. We camped way to the very back. Nice back in spot. The check in staff is super friendly, the owners and workers not so much. We was escorted to our site by what we believed to be the maintenance man, later to find out it could possible be the owner. He guided us backing in and our first attempt was spot on. Then he kept saying we needed over motioning which direction, so we got over. At this point I got out and and we was way to close to the electric box. He then threw his hands up in the air walked away. Went over to our friends waiting to back in their spot and to their escort saying how LONG a wait they were going to have while we got ourselves over more. Totally humiliating us right in front of them. Also lots of unessecary strict rules. Not to bash, but that's exactly what happened. 23 years of camping and never had that happen. We camped at Paradise Park Resort Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Other campgrounds in the area to choose from. This does have a super location to the beach. Which you could actually walk to. Very cozy beach town. Also central to Portland and Kennebunkport area.

Camden Hills RV Resort, Rockport, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

New owners took this campground over in 2017. It's a very nice wooded campground yet open spaces. The people checking you in are super friendly and very accommodating. Take you to your site, etc. they also own the other campground on Route 1. This is much quieter and yet still close to the Camden area. Highly recommend. We camped at Camden Hills RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Bar Harbor / Oceanside KOA, Bar Harbor, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable. Don't get caught up in the sites, yes some are close, pull thru are nice and the oceanfront spots as well. But the sunset and the onsite lobster pound make up for it all!!! Free shuttle to and from Bar Harbor is amazing. Route 3 was all torn up while we was there. Parking is sparse in town. Close to Acadia National Park. We camped at Bar Harbor / Oceanside KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Scenic Hills RV Park, Millersburg, Ohio

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This is by far the best campground in the Amish area! The rates are based on your length of stay. Also a Good Sam. Level sites, easy in and out. (The only hassle is the awful intersection leaving or coming) the campground sis constantly being "groomed". Very quiet as well. Friendly owners, staff. BEAWARE they only take cash or personal check. Not right on top of the next camper, very spacious sites. FREE firewood! Which is just about unheard of. 30 and 50 amp sites. We camped at Scenic Hills RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Three Springs Campground, Corinth, Kentucky

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

You won't stay at a quieter park than this! Super friendly owners that aim to please. The Ark Encounter is an east 12 miles up I-75. And only 40 minutes from Lexington. Long back I sites with plenty of room. Shared hook ups not an issue. Park like setting. Great pride is taken to keep this place emaculate. We camped at Three Springs Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Shelby / Mansfield KOA, Shelby, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $68.00
Overall Rating:

This is now a resort campground. Awesome activities for kids and the whole family. The $68 doesn't reflect the 10% discount. And it was a Holiday weekend. The only complaint I'd have is the slow internet and you can only register one device, you pay for extra devices. The sites are huge and the grounds are emasculate! Even a full campground it stays quiet. Pool is resort style and super clean! Stay extremely friendly. We camped at Shelby / Mansfield KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Scenic Hills RV Park, Millersburg, Ohio

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This is our go to Amish area campground! Easy in easy out. Sites are very spacious! The rate reflects one night the longer you stay the cheaper it gets. Good Sam, but if you stay longer it's cheaper not using the discount. No kids activities and must be self contained. Sites are large. Very friendly staff. The only drawback is the intersection leaving. A blinking light st. Very busy road. We camped at Scenic Hills RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Two Rivers Campground, Nashville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Very friendly staff. Very good information, $10 shuttle service to downtown Nashville and the Opry....well worth it! The park is older, roads desperately needed paved or potholes filled in. We had no rain, but had we it'd been a mess. Tight spots. Traffic noise from highway, but didn't bother us. Trailer sales directly next door. Over all appearance it needs a good sprucing up. Enjoyed the music that was brought in! Probably wouldn't stay here again. We camped in a 36' 5th wheel. We camped at Two Rivers Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Red Apple Campground, Arundel, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 3 nights. Very nice park and all blacktop. Constant mowing and tidying up. Spotless! Plus you order lobster in the morning and it gets delivered right to your door around 5:30. It's cheap, too! They do this as a courtesy, not to make money. We were in C-3 which was a little tight for our 36' to back in and pull out. Otherwise, the site was wide and accommodating. Very friendly We camped at Red Apple Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Chewonki Campground, Wiscasset, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful setting. The sites are tiered and hard to pull out of. Had to back up plus it rained so it was very muddy. The women running the campground are awesome. We "heard" that they are revamping their sites to be more accommodating. The pictures on their web page are a tad deceiving. But still awesome. We camped at Chewonki Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Wild Duck Campground & RV Park (Adult Only), Scarborough, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Off season rates applied. A lot of seasonals. Backs up to a salt water marsh. Gorgeous setting. Had site 24 and it was awesome. We had wished we'd spent our whole 12 days here! Very good location to everything in that area. Loved the Kennebunkport area which is an easy 30 min drive. We camped at Wild Duck Campground & RV Park (Adult Only) in a Fifth Wheel.

Dayton KOA, Brookville, Ohio

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

The price per night reflects KOA discount. Good location to Air Force Museum. There is nothing closer. You'll drive 30 plus miles one way to museum. We have stayed here multiple times. Clean park, but you will get the Interstate noise. WI-FI not the greatest, but enough to check on email, etc. It fills up on weekends. Good family camping. We've stayed here with grand-kid and to go to the Air Force Museum/Yellow Springs area. Friendly staff! We camped at Dayton KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Scenic Hills RV Park, Millersburg, Ohio

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Immaculate park. Other RV parks in the area, but this is the best kept one. Wi-Fi is throughout the park/good reception. Well groomed sites/level sites. Good Sam park, but they discount after 2 nights stay that is greater than the 10% discount. Very friendly staff. Excellent location to all the Amish stuff. We are repeat campers. Tried the other parks, but always end up back here. FREE firewood. Self contained units only. No bathhouse We camped at Scenic Hills RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

A wooded setting right off I-196. The pull through sites could be a little tight, but got in ok. We can hear traffic noise, but it's not offensive. The TV station kept cutting out. All minor inconveniences, we would stay here again. We camped at Coloma / St. Joseph KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
