Kentuckiana Kampgound, Mackinaw, Illinois

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived at the CG on June 1. We had called a month in advance and ask if they could accommodate a 35' Motorhome pulling a trailer and they said they could. As soon as we arrived, the elderly lady at registration was rude and wanted to know if we had a reservation. I told her I did and that I had called a month ago. The lady told me, "Well, I don't think I can fit that big rig in the sites we have." I told her she had originally told me she could, all she could say was, "I don't think so but you can look." As she showed my husband the site she said she didn't think we could stay any longer than 3 nights even if we wanted to. The whole process was terrible and the staff was rude. We camped at Kentuckiana Kampgound in a Motorhome.

Canyon Trail RV Resort, San Marcos, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice campground. The pull through sites are all Big Rig friendly. Some of the sites are as long as 175 feet. We were able to fit our 34' motorhome, 14' trailer, an extended-cab pickup, another 14' trailer and 3 motorcycles in one space. Not all sites were concrete pads but the sites were very level. The only down side was the train tracks behind the property and the factory with the noise from it. Overall, it was a nice park. We camped at Canyon Trail RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Moore's RV Park (formerly Desert Rose Resort), Bloomfield, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Although this park states it is Big Rig friendly, it is very tight quarters. The sites are all gravel and not level. The only half-way decent thing about this park is the dog run and it needed to be mowed. We would not camp here again unless there just was no place else to go. We camped at Moore's RV Park (formerly Desert Rose Resort) in a Motorhome.
