We pulled our 41' Monaco into a corner of the park along the river and wow did we have a nice view of the river. It was quiet and roomy with friendly neighbors. Lots of trees too. Trails along the river were easy to navigate and the managers of the park were the friendliest we'd met in many of our travels. It is a bit far from town, so we didn't walk into town, although the manager offered us a ride into town. We spotted many deer crossing the river every morning and every evening. The laundry room was very clean, the wireless worked very well. Our stay was in late fall when leaves were falling. We would gladly stay here again.

We stayed a few nights in our 41' RV which the host helped guide us into our spot. We saw deer in the evening and early morning hours. I've never seen so many hummingbirds as were at our 2 feeders: it must have been nearly 100. It is easy walking distance to the Cubres Toltec Railroad and shopping in downtown Chama. People in the park were very friendly. The river has fishing spots all along and there were several fishermen. Plenty of room to pull our RV through. We had trouble connecting to the wireless: never got it. A lot of big rigs were here. Cool in the evening and warm in the afternoon. We'll go again. It's a beautiful drive from Albuquerque.
