swiws Provincial Park (Haynes Point), Osoyoos, British Columbia

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful sunny weekend and we had a waterfront site with our friends, on a double site. Essentially no services but still nice. Fortunately we received the site at half price which makes it more palatable. Lot spacing is spacious with a sunny/open exposure. Site surface was gravel and features a fire ring and picnic table. We camped at swiws Provincial Park (Haynes Point) in a Truck Camper.

Okanagan Lake Provincial Park, Summerland, British Columbia

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a provincial park. The showers were clean but the water was cold, so most unpleasant. The building is new since the last time we were here years ago. Had hot showers the last time. Lot spacing was very close with some shade. Site surface was dirt and features a fire ring and picnic table. We camped at Okanagan Lake Provincial Park in a Truck Camper.

Arrowhead Lake Campground, Johnston City, Illinois

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

This is a fabulous secret! Only found this park because of the website www.uscampgrounds.info. Beautiful setting, very pleasant people, easy in and easy out. If you are coming from I-57, use the truck route to get to the park as the railway crossing is easier than going down Broadway. From interstate go down Broadway then take a left on Grand turn right on 9th street follow to Corinth which is past the railway tracks then turn left on Peterson. Some of the branches of the trees on Peterson are a little low so beware. Great spot to stop for north and south travelers. We camped at Arrowhead Lake Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Lakeview Park and Beach, Eunice, Louisiana

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We had the Escapee rate. We asked for a satellite friendly site when we booked for three nights. When we arrived the site we were to be on was not satellite friendly so we were moved to one that was but it was wet and the sewer ended up backing up. The man who came to help did not have equipment available to help. The barn dance on Saturday with Geno Delafose was a blast and a bonus!! We would park here again if we were in the area. We camped at Lakeview Park and Beach in a Fifth Wheel.

Llano Grande Resort and Country Club, Mercedes, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This is the first time we have ever stayed at a resort style park and it was a wonderful experience. I am a quilter and what I was able to do with the group paid for the trip on its own. The swimming pools are fabulous as are the hot tubs. The park is very bicycle friendly. There is so much going on that it would take more than a month being here to figure it all out. Would certainly consider coming back here. Terrific experience. The electric is extra and the WiFi is free and fabulous. The best WiFi we have ever had and that is important to us as Canadians for staying in touch with family. The owner of this park and his employees need to be congratulated on getting the RV experience totally right here!! Recognizing some of the discount clubs might be a plan for even a couple of days of stays over a week. Just a thought!! Our rate was was the per diem of the 28 day month of February. We camped at Llano Grande Resort and Country Club in a Fifth Wheel.

Holiday Village Mobile Home and RV Park (55+ park), Mesa, Arizona

Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This manufactured home park is central to everything in the Mesa and Phoenix area in our opinion. This is our third time here. Last time was three years ago. There are many many more sites available to RVers because of the aging population here. Many of the mobiles have been dismantled and as a result the sites are huge!! The people are very friendly. The two swimming pools are well maintained as is the very large hot tub. The roads are very wide and are asphalt. This is a very easy park to negotiate to the sites. Just check the site before you drive in as there may be some left over metal from the previous home but the park has tried to clean the sites up. Water, sewer, and electric are included. The price reflects the monthly rate divided by 30. The nightly rate is around $30 a night. This is the best deal that we have found in the area and will come back whenever we are in Arizona. We camped at Holiday Village Mobile Home and RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Stagecoach RV Ranch, Deming, New Mexico

Date of Stay: November, 2013 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This park is a gravel parking lot away from the interstate by 5 miles. Tried it because of the previous reviews. We made a 10 dollar donation and would have given more except the WiFi was as slow as dial up and kept timing out. Safe clean location. I took a point off because of the slow WiFi. There is no resort atmosphere, but I don't take points from my reviews because of amenities that I don't need not being available. The couple at the "office" were friendly. I am not sure I would come this far off the interstate again but you never know. We camped at Stagecoach RV Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.
