Raymond RV & Marine, Raymond, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a no frills park. It is co-located with a catamaran building business just off highway 101 on the Willapa River. 30amp hookup with water worked well. No sewer but there is a dump on property for use. Internal road is good and some sites are tight but works. We camped at Raymond RV & Marine in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

This area is the "Oyster capital of the US". We ate at the "River View Dining" Had grilled oysters "all the way" and they were the best I have ever had.
The Western Carriage Museum was excellent, a must see. There is a small casino ( Shoalwater) about 15 miles around the bay in Tokeland.

Eastcreek Campground, Mineral, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Only had 30 amp power and water. No sewer, laundry, or cable. If you wanted to dump would cost $5.00 and shower was also an additional $5.00. There were a few 50 amp hookups.

The park was very impressive as it was situated in tall western cedars and hemlocks, dark but nice and on a creek. Could not use satellite and there was no over the air TV, and no cell reception. Once we got over the electronic withdrawal it was actually kind of nice. The owner was nice but I think he has it up for sale. We camped at Eastcreek Campground in a Motorhome.

Entrance to Rainer NP is about 15 miles away. Several nice restaurants in Ashford about hallway to the entrance. Be sure and get a piece of blackberry pie at "The Copper Creek Inn and Restaurant". Breakfast is also great (large portions but a bit pricey).

Laundry available in Ashford.

Gilgal Oasis RV Park, Sequim, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Great little park. Very neat and tidy. Landscaping was excellent. Great location for visiting the area to include Port Angeles, Hurricane Ridge Olympic NP, Port Townsend etc. Hookups worked great. The staff were very helpful. The only down side was the site fee $41 was a bit pricey but this park was a cut above most of the other parks we saw. We had no problems getting our 32 MH in a back-in but a big rig would have a little challenge. They do have pull-throughs. We camped at Gilgal Oasis RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wildhorse Resort and Casino RV Park, Pendleton, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Very neat and clean park. Right next to The Wild horse Casino w/ shuttle service. All sites were asphalt with full hook ups. Services worked well. Sites are pretty level and packed in making your neighbors close by although seemed pretty quite. Wi-Fi was iffy but Version Mi-Fi worked well. AT@T signal was weak, voice worked ok but data not so good. We camped at Wildhorse Resort and Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

Walmart, Safeway and other amenities available in Pendleton about 3-4 miles down I84.
A visit to the Pendleton Mill is worth going. They have a store to purchase all kinds of Pendleton wear and there is a tour of the factory which was very interesting.

A-Frame RV Park (formerly Oregon Trails West RV Park), Baker City, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Old Park but kept fairly neat given the large number of live-ins. Some back in sites are tight to get in. Full hookups worked well. No Cable and satellite is basically non existent due to the trees. Can get some over air stations from Boise if the tower on the mountain is working. Staff very friendly and helpful. We camped at A-Frame RV Park (formerly Oregon Trails West RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Mountain View RV Park, Boise, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very neat little park. Site are close but on the bias so not too close. Occupants mostly workers in 5th wheels. Between I84 and the Airport so a little noisy but was able to get a good nights rest. full hookups worked great, Wi-Fi worked good (we were fairly close to office). Great for a night or two. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hill AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp), Hill AFB, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here in 2007 and not much has changed. The sites vary from gravel to concrete. The hookups are in odd places. Several rigs must use same electric pedestal and water outlet. Same with sewer. Most military famcamps are much nicer than here. We camped at Hill AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

Bryce Canyon Pines, Bryce Canyon, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

There were good sites and bad (mostly getting level, and some very close together) which I figure the other comments are about. Hookups worked well. The whole park is pretty much packed sand which can be quiet dusty at times however there are some trees providing shade. The staff at check-in were great. The chevron station was handy to have close by and of course Bryce is just a few miles down the highway. Great place to visit Bryce and Grand Staircase Escalante and Red Canyon. The rating is for location, location, location. We camped at Bryce Canyon Pines in a Motorhome.

Oak Creek Mobilodge, Sedona, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Old park with lots of run down trailers which I think are mostly rented. They only have a few transient sites. Was very tight getting in and out. The entrance road is very steep. Would be difficult for big rigs but doable. The full hookups worked well and the Wi-Fi was surprisingly good. The girls at check-in were very nice and pleasant. I must say the park is fairly neat given all the old trailers.

Very nice view of Oak Creek off of the patio just outside of the office. We camped at Oak Creek Mobilodge in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Although very rustic, this is an excellent place to stay (although pricey) and visit all that Sedona has to offer. There are many things to do in Sedona, go to visitors center and get mounds of information. Driving up Oak Creek Canyon is a must, go all the way up the switchbacks to the viewing area about 16 miles out of Sedona.

Lots of off-road for Jeep enthusiasts.

Distant Drums RV Resort, Camp Verde, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Great park with excellent views of surrounding mountains. Lots of "pull-in" spaces. Hookups worked well. Staff were very attentive when parking and leaving. Some spaces are tight and unleveled but doable. Casino just across the street. One of best places we've stayed!
I would have given them an overall 10 but they were out of "laundry cards", seemed odd that could happen at a place so well run, they said " people weren't returning them". Would definitely return. We camped at Distant Drums RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Gaslight Square Mobile Home Park, Canutillo, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Full hookup utilities worked well. There are about 25 sites in the RV section of the Mobile home Park. Although the area looks a little run down the RV section was well cared for. The Park is located on the western side of El Paso so the general area looks like "little" Mexico. We are from the valley of Texas so was no big surprise to us. You have to consider here you are and don't set expectations too high. El Paso is like any big city with all the amenities. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Gaslight Square Mobile Home Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here many times. It is an excellent location for downtown San Antonio. The staff are very nice an attentive to your needs. The facilities are clean and neat. We have never had any problems with the hookups. All concrete slab and pull through. Best to call ahead for a reservation as the park stays relatively full.
