Loft Mountain Campground (NPS Campground), Elkton, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2009 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Overall this campground is nice. Our biggest complaint was the toilet and bath facilities. The Men's restroom on our loop had only one stall toilet. This is the largest campground on Skyline Drive for goodness sake! At the camp store, the Men's bath house had only one working shower for the entire weekend. As it is now, I would not stay here again. There are better choices. It's time for updated facilities at this National Park campground. We camped at Loft Mountain Campground (NPS Campground) in a Tent Trailer.

Pocahontas State Park, Chesterfield, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We really enjoyed this campground. Our favorite part was the pool of course however it gets quite busy on the weekends. The camp sites we had (2) were pull throughs, relatively level, and in good condition. It was a very quiet and peaceful camp. The water and electric hookups were great. We will definitely return to this campground. We camped at Pocahontas State Park in a Tent Trailer.
