Van Horn RV Park (formerly Van Horn KOA), Van Horn, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We have been staying here for overnighters since it was a KOA. Its spacious and no restrictions on pets as we have 5 little ones. They are adding more spaces in the back 40. The big DP's all stay here. Good cable TV. Utilities all good. We camped at Van Horn RV Park (formerly Van Horn KOA) in a Motorhome.

Benson KOA, Benson, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here overnight several times. This year the water pipes are now repaired and we had good pressure. Good cable TV. Friendly hosts. Just a little too much on the price but we have 5 little dogs and they don't say anything about it. Other parks have restrictions. Thats why we prefer KOA. We camped at Benson KOA in a Motorhome.

Pahrump Station RV Park, Pahrump, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here before and usually get the same space. We are here generally for 6 nights. Not too much has changed. We got a weekly rate this time which was better than 2 yrs ago. Still no cable TV. But antenna gave us a few good channels. Water and electric is good. No one bothers us. The pet area is not being keep up which is a grassy area. We will stay here again if we come back. We camped at Pahrump Station RV Park in a Motorhome.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort: Guadalupe River, Kerrville, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed 3 nights, park is in transition to Yogi Bear Campgrounds, so this is a family park with kids activities being implemented. Arrived on a Thursday and it started filling up on Friday. Great place for pets with plenty of space along river to walk pets. No charge on cable, however, some channels would not work. Only 3 channels on antenna. Could not log onto wifi even though its free. Did not work with my Ipad. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort: Guadalupe River in a Motorhome.

Mountain View RV Park, Van Horn, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Did an overnight stay. Power and water were good. Cable TV a bust, could not get it to work. Pet run decent. Park has some migrant workers so to speak. As a recreational RV'er, I prefer parks without long term or migrant workers. Will probably use the KOA on return trip. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Benson KOA, Benson, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Overnight stay, electricity was good, but the water supply was intermittent. Sometimes we had water pressure, then not. Owners said it was broken pipes. We are dog owners and the pet run was great for us. The water issue will probably keep us away on our return trip. We camped at Benson KOA in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a former KOA but is well maintained, great park hosts, and an excellent overnighter. Plenty of nearby places to eat. Electric and water were good. Cable was good also. We camped at Junction/North Llano River RV Park in a Motorhome.

Excellent overnight park. Located at a truck/gas station, plenty of room to maneuver. Good electricity and water. Pet area is great. We need more places like this and less stuffy 55+ parks in AZ. We camped at Holt's Shell RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tried to stay here. Office closed at 1pm. Went to designated overnight sites, tried 3 sites, no electrical power. We wasted an hour looking for a site and finally left. Will never return here. We camped at Saddle Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

Kingman KOA, Kingman, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2011 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

This was not a planned stay, but due to a blowout of my rear driver tire we could not make it to our intended stop in Williams, AZ. Kingman KOA was very friendly, clean and very pet friendly. At first glance, the park looks confining and narrow, but really isn't and very maneuverable. They seem to get a lot of tent and cabin overnight people. Trees and bushes separate the pull-throughs and we had no problem with after hour noise. It is located in odd place, a residential neighborhood, but really not an issue. We would stay here again. We camped at Kingman KOA in a Motorhome.

Pahrump Station RV Park, Pahrump, Nevada

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed 4 nights in the older section because of cable hookup. Back (newer section) has no cable. Really nice Rv park, well manicured green areas. No one ever bothered us. Park is on a gradual sloop. We stayed with 4 small dogs not a problem, no extra charges. Would stay there again. We camped at Pahrump Station RV Park in a Motorhome.

South Padre Island KOA, South Padre Island, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2009 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

A very clean and nicely landscaped park. Not enough pull thrus. The back-in are more spacious and nicer. Easy to find and enter. Desk personal were friendly enough, however, their man to guide you to your site has a really bad attitude. First he literally yelled at me for not downloading my toad before entering the park, then got even angrier when he tried to make turn 270 degrees with a tow dolly toad into our site and I wouldn't. It wasn't just me either, I watched him scold out another guest when guiding him to their site. Not sure we'll ever go there again. We camped at South Padre Island KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed 4 nights while attending some training. Yeah, its a parking lot with hookups, but nobody bothered us and with 4 small dogs we had no problems. At registration, we're told to go find a site we liked and report it to them. We camped at Saddle West Hotel Casino & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
