Etowah River Campground, Dahlonega, Georgia

Date of Stay: October, 2009 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Park is showing it's age. Electric plugs needed to be replaced. The grounds were muddy from rain due to a lack of gravel. We spun our tires twice getting into the park. Site was not level or really large enough for our 39' 5th wheel and truck. We only stayed overnight due to these conditions. Would not return to this park. We camped at Etowah River Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

No one would have any complaints here. This is one of the nicest, if not the nicest park we have stayed at. Didn't use the facilities but saw someone cleaning them every morning. The staff is very friendly and the grounds are well maintained. Site was level and large with a great view of the lake and forest. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to friends. We camped at Deer Run RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The Buckhorne Country Store and Campground, Clifton Forge, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2009 - $21.00

Nice small park. Very friendly and helpful. Largest load of firewood ever received for $5. Was able to get satellite by sitting dish in grassy area across the lane from site #8. Site #8 was deep enough for me to get my motorcycle in and out (I was backed in). Would stay here again We camped at The Buckhorne Country Store and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Hilltop Farm Campsites, Mountain Dale, New York

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $23.00

Sorry we didn't know about this web site before we stayed. The pull-through we had was full of puddles and high grass making it impossible to keep your feet dry. A lot of run down trailers in the park and no one was friendly, including the owner. I would avoid this park at all costs. We camped at Hilltop Farm Campsites in a Fifth Wheel.
