Salina KOA, Salina, Kansas

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in a 40' class A motorhome with no slides There are lots of large trees on this property and one must be careful navigating. We pulled in OK but had to back out to leave due to tree placement. I love trees but it wins against a motor coach.

Be careful about specifying and understanding the electrical service layout. Adjacent sites are designated 30 and 50 amp and are served out of the same electrical box. We tried and failed to use the 30 amp service as the 50 amp was in use by the 30 amp site. We had to relocate at managements request.

The setting is pretty with minimal noise from the freeway. We camped at Salina KOA in a Motorhome.

Mohican Adventures Campground, Loudonville, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We were here with a group or would have not selected this facility. The bathrooms are falling apart. The campground is activity oriented not so much RV oriented. Lots of cabins. Fire rings in use smoldered so bad it was difficult to stay outside at night time. Many restrictive rules plus you must sign an agreement that releases their liability even for neglect. It contains a arbitration clause and they insist that you wear their wrist band for the duration of stay.

We will choose not return to this facility in the future. We camped at Mohican Adventures Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There are many things to do in the area as it is the largest Amish populated area in the country. Mohican river rafting, miniature golf, sight seeing and many an Amish buffet.

Mission RV Park, Russellville, Arkansas

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Second stay here over the years. The park is very basic with little or no shade. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable about sights to see in the area. It overlooks the lake but is a distance away. It is quiet and well kept. We camped at Mission RV Park in a Motorhome.

Ohio County Park and Campground, Hartford, Kentucky

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very fundamental park. Stayed two nights and would return. It is quiet. There are activities associated with a Fairground and locals bring their kids to play in the water feature. Trailer parking and class C parking can be in a wooded/shaded part of the park. We stayed in a 40' class A with no slides. It is a back in only and towed parking is tight. We would return based on our experience.

The County staff went out of their way to stay for our late arrival. They were awesome. We camped at Ohio County Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park, West Memphis, Arkansas

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed in a 40' class A motorhome on a river view site. It is pull thru with a concrete pad and long enough to straighten out to unhook the tow vehicle. There is barge traffic on the river night and day to keep one occupied. This is our favorite campground so a little biased. They pick up trash all day long placed in front of your rig. There are benches to sit on. It is a well maintained place and the staff is always helpful and friendly. It is pet friendly. We will be back.

Call in advance for a river view if that is what you want. Lots of sites available that are not on the front row though. We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Motorhome.
