Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds, Trinidad, California

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground except for the grumpy white haired lady who seems to run the place. I would not have bothered to review the campground but wanted to warn those planning to come to this campground to exit Hwy 101 from the north. If you come in from the south or Trinidad end you will hit a very rough patch on the road and if you are towing or have a big rig it could end badly. We camped at Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

Pacific Playgrounds RV Park, Black Creek, British Columbia

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here a total of 4 nights. Very nicely laid out campground in amongst tall trees and quiet but it is the end of the season. The beach is a short walk away. This our second stay here and we would stay here again in preference to other campgrounds in the vicinity. We camped at Pacific Playgrounds RV Park in a Motorhome.

Salmon Point RV Park, Campbell River, British Columbia

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in a site by the ocean which was away from the main campground and where we were was very quiet. The restaurant is one minute walk away so very handy if you don't feel like cooking. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Salmon Point RV Park in a Motorhome.

Discovery Yukon Lodgings, White River, Yukon

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

We drove by several campgrounds along this stretch of the Alaska Highway and chose to stay here because it looked like a campground instead of a gravel pit. It actually had some shady sites and grass. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. After leaving the campground, some 40 miles down the road: our motorhome broke down and they organized a tow truck and mechanic to come out to rescue us. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Discovery Yukon Lodgings in a Motorhome.

Todd's RV & Camping, Peachland, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

We tried to get into the local provincial parks on the lake but they were full, so this was our next stop. The campground is full of kids, so it must have something going for it. Some reviewers have complained about noise from other campers but we did not hear a peep out of anyone overnight. Great location near the lake in the very pretty town of Peachland and a nice walk along the waterfront to the local restaurants. Wi-Fi is good and the washrooms were clean. Close to the highway so there is some road noise but not too bad overnight. The campground is very expensive but it is the only one in town so it is a case of supply and demand. We camped at Todd's RV & Camping in a Motorhome.

Camping Cote Surprise, Percé, Quebec

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is in a fabulous location overlooking Perce Rock and Bonaventure Island. Just about every site has a view over the water. We could see whales and dolphins from our campsite. Perce has lots of restaurants and the campground is within walking distance. We would recommend taking a tour boat over to Bonaventure Island to see the 200,000 or so Gannets nesting there. Our plan was to stay one night but we ended up staying four. We camped at Camping Cote Surprise in a Motorhome.

Camping des Aulnaies, Saint-Roch-des-Aulnaies, Quebec

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed our one night stay in this campground despite the huffing and puffing of the reception staff when my wife made it clear she could not speak French. My wife huffed and puffed back and once they got over the language difficulties we got a very nice grassy site with a view over the water. There was an accordion festival on in nearby Montmagny so we were entertained by accordion music during the day and into the evening. We camped at Camping des Aulnaies in a Motorhome.

Champlain Adult Campground, Grand Isle, Vermont

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

We really enjoyed our stay at this campground even though it was only for one night. The campground owner was very pleasant and managed to get us a beautiful site overlooking the lake. Other campers next to us were very friendly which always helps. One of the nicest campgrounds we stayed in during our three months of traveling through New York, Vermont and eastern Canada. We camped at Champlain Adult Campground in a Motorhome.

Ausable Point Campground, Peru, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

We selected this site on the internet using the Reserve America web site. The web site indicated that the site we chose would take a 35ft motorhome. We were very disappointed with the site. Just enough room for the motorhome and not much room for anything else. And we were next to a swamp and almost living on top of our neighbors - who had two tents and lots of visitors. We booked for three nights but stayed only one. We tried to get another site but the campground was full and the campground staff were not very interested. We will not be staying in this campground again. We stayed in site 100. We camped at Ausable Point Campground in a Motorhome.

Rideau Acres Campground, Kingston, Ontario

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very busy and crowded campground. Our site was so narrow we could smell the sewer on the site next to us, and the sewer connection for our site was immediately adjacent to our neighbors tent where they were sleeping. We didn't have the heart to connect up our sewer hose. It seems that this campground caters more for the seasonal campers and the overnighters get second best. We chose this campground because it was close to Kingston. Next time we will look further afield. We camped at Rideau Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

Tranquil Acres Camping RV Park, Carleton Place, Ontario

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for two nights in our motorhome on our way through to Ottawa. The grounds are very well maintained and the owners make sure campers obey the quiet times. We cannot vouch for the showers or rest rooms as we did not use them. The Wi-Fi access was brilliant in contrast to many campgrounds with Wi-Fi where the signal is patchy. We camped at Tranquil Acres Camping RV Park in a Motorhome.
