Regarding the negative Review by the man from Knoxville with the pack of dogs in the little Pop-Up camper; I was camped nearby and if I had not been leaving the next day, I would have confronted him personally. He and his dogs were loud and disturbing to that area of the campground. I have 1 small dog that goes with us and we either have her with us or we Board her over in Sevierville at the "Doggy Daycare" while we are camping. I have been camping at Big Meadow Family Campground for about 3 years now and we think that it is the most friendly, caring and pleasant place to stay in the Smokies. We just returned from a 6,000 mile, 15 State Trip out West and we found no Campground that we liked any better than the Big Meadow Family Campground. The Campground owners are some of the finest people I have ever dealt with. They have the rules to make your camping experience more enjoyable and peacefull and secure. We love to camp but we do not like camping where people bring packs of barking dogs and the people are also loud and scurrilous. I am thankful that the staff at Big Meadow stands up to people like that. Camping should be fun and relaxing and friendly. That is why I like to camp at Big Meadow. They do not put up with loud and abusive dogs or people because they know that the vast majority of campers do not like to camp along side of inconsiderate people. We camped at Big Meadow Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
