Stagecoach Stop RV Resort, Rio Rancho, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is our second stay at the Stagecoach Stop RV Park. The sites are level and utilities are in the right place for easy hookup. We found the staff very friendly and the park clean and quiet. It is very convenient to a new Wal-Mart Supercenter and the Santa Ana Casino. We will stay here again. We camped at Stagecoach Stop RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Sky Ute Casino RV Park, Ignacio, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This is a brand new RV Park right next to the Sky Ute Casino. Check out their website to see how nice it is. 24 pull-thrus all paved with landscaping and metal picnic tables and trash containers at each site. You can park in any open site, and register at the Casino Hotel Check-in after you set up. The park is clean, well lit and very quiet, with 24 hour security. When you register you receive coupons for free continental breakfast each day, and key cards for the heated indoor pool, fitness center and jacuzzi. In addition the casino has a new 24 lane bowling alley, miniature golf, and bingo. Rate is $24.00/day or $22.50 with a Good Sam or AAA card. We will definitely be back. We camped at Sky Ute Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

Royal View Camp Resort, Canon City, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

I agree with the previous review. Overall, a nice campground, if you don't have to interact with the owner. He is ex-military, and it shows. Very abrupt, not at all friendly, let's everyone know he's the boss. He brags that he "runs off" anyone he doesn't like. Wi-Fi was so slow it was unusable. We would look for a friendlier place to stay. We camped at Royal View Camp Resort in a Motorhome.

Douglas KOA, Douglas, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We don't normally stay at KOAs due to high prices, and the fact that they often aren't as friendly as other "non-chain" parks. This KOA is a great example of a really good park. All the amenities and very nice staff. Very efficient check-in, escort to our site, and follow-up to be sure we were happy with the site and their service in general. We are only staying overnight, but wouldn't mind staying longer next time we travel this way. We camped at Douglas KOA in a Motorhome.

Devils Tower View RV Park, Devils Tower, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice little family owned campground with a great view of Devil's Tower. It is not fancy, but very convenient and friendly. There is a small cafe/ restaurant on site. We had a very nice breakfast. WI-FI is available in the office and restaurant, and will soon be available at the sites. It is a very good overnight stop. We camped at Devils Tower View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Horse Thief Campground & RV Resort, Hill City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

The campground itself is not too bad and it is centrally located for local attractions. Our site (121) was a pull-thru with gravel and grass, and fairly level. The WI-FI did not work for several days and the office personnel attributed it to "the weather". When it finally did work it was extremely slow and would not connect most of the time. Staff considered WI-FI problems a pain and did not seem to be concerned. I agree with a previous comment that overall the campground was okay but the staff was not. If you want a "rustic" experience, this might be alright for you... There is no cell service, no cable TV,no local TV, and satellite reception only from a few sites. We will make another choice next time we are in the area. We camped at Horse Thief Campground & RV Resort in a Motorhome.
