Hidden Hollow, Cottonwood, Alabama

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

There were four RV's total the night we stayed. The woman that greeted us in the office was very personable, helpful, and gave us a tour of the lodge where we checked in. As noted, your stay is 24 hours from when you check in. Nice now, but may cause issues when they have more business. Sites are relatively level and cement. Sky is open for satellite. My one complaint is the location of connections on the sites. They are located at the very rear. Our 43' motor-home and tow car were within 2-3 feet of filling the entire pad. Had we wanted to connect the sewer it would have required 30 ft of sewer hose. As another review stated, you MUST use a pressure regulator for city water. I checked it before connecting and read 120 lbs. That is the most I have seen in eleven years. We camped at Hidden Hollow in a Motorhome.

Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park, West Memphis, Arkansas

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This was our second stay here. Relatively level gravel sites. When making a reservation we specifically requested a site that would allow us to receive satellite. When we got to our site there was a large tree located right where the antenna needed to look. We called the office and asked if we could move to the site next to us that was empty and had a wide open view of the sky. We were told no, it was booked and the people were staying at least two days. They told us the same thing about three other open sites on the row we were on. We were told the only site available was on the river and was $7 more per night. We asked them to wave the additional fee since it was their mistake. They said no. We asked to have our charge reversed and we would just leave. They said there would be a $10 charge for "cancelling" the reservation, so we stayed and changed sites. We had to disconnect to drive to the office and pay the additional fee. So much for having a pull-thru site. The next morning the site next to our original site was still open. We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Motorhome.

Cave Country RV Campground, Cave City, Kentucky

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nice clean campground with long well graveled pull-thru's. Trains are very close, but they don't blow their whistles so it's not too bad. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Thorntree Lake Campground, Saint Paul, Indiana

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

I would not recommend this park for motorhomes longer than 38ft. They have placed boulders and light poles on the corners of the site making it difficult to maneuver in and out. Our pad had the sewer drain in the middle of the pad so I had to crawl under the coach to connect. Electric and water were on the wrong side. Very narrow gravel parking area because of the patio and hookups. Many residents work, so you have traffic noise early in the morning. Owners are slowly making improvements. We camped at Thorntree Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Berlin RV Park and Campground, Millersburg, Ohio

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent park. Friendly staff, well maintained, gravel sites, but they are level and there is plenty of gravel. There is an amazing amount of traffic on the Hwy 39, so you have some road noise even at night. The water pressure is a little low, but that seems to be normal in this part of the country. As of now, the location on the map link (here) is incorrect. Park is located on Hwy 39 between Berlin and Millersburg. Check the map on their website. Rate is based on weekly rate. We camped at Berlin RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Enon Beach Campground, Springfield, Ohio

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Read the earlier reviews. Very high noise level, particularly the trains. Small roads with tight turns for anything over 36ft. Hookups on wrong end of pad. Low water pressure, and you have to share that with your neighbor. Had to drive across grass to reach our site. Run down permanent sites with unfriendly occupants. Park exit is very narrow, and trees badly scratched the side of my coach. I would not recommend this for even an overnight stop. We camped at Enon Beach Campground in a Motorhome.

Hinton RV Park, Sikeston, Missouri

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

There are some overnight pull-thru sites by the office that are easy in and out. We were parked in the back row. Between trees they have planted, metal fence posts to protect them, and signs to display the site number, they are creating an obstacle course for big rigs trying to park. Even though other sites were available, we were put in a site with tree limbs blocking the exit. I didn't see it until I was committed to the site. We asked twice to have the tree limbs trimmed. The first time we were ignored, the second time he said "I'll have to call the boss and see what he wants to do". Apparently the boss didn't want to trim the limbs because it never happened. I backed out of the site. The area we were in also had more road traffic than many busy parks we have been at. There's a road in front, a road in back, and a couple of vehicles within the park that drive thru frequently, once at 1:40am. I will not return to this park. We camped at Hinton RV Park in a Motorhome.

Little Creek RV Village, Alto, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Overall this is an OK park. Roads are dirt, as are the parking spots. Our park spot was neither flat nor level. Had to reposition after steps wouldn't open. Trees are planted where they provide shade but interfere with satellite reception. The area is beautiful and this is the nicest park we saw. We would stay here again. We camped at Little Creek RV Village in a Motorhome.

Dove's Rest RV Campground, Marianna, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Managers very friendly and ready to help. The roads look very narrow as you pull in, but had plenty of room (43ft + toad) to maneuver to our parking spot. Mostly packed sand with cement strips (not in good repair) for the tires. Many permanent residents, one of which is a woman whose attributes are apparently producing children and screaming at them. Neighbors TV was loud late at night, as well as neighbors coming and going..talking and slamming car doors. No satellite reception where we were. Park is over priced. Next time I will stay at the local Wal-Mart. We camped at Dove's Rest RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Heritage Acres RV Park, Tuscumbia, Alabama

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park and great place to stay while seeing the Tuscumbia area. Owner was very friendly and helpful, with some great tips for local home cooking and BBQ. Park is gravel, but there is plenty of it and it is packed firm. As is common anymore, there are what appear to be quite a few permanent residents but the sites are all well maintained. Little road noise even though it is close to the highway with easy in and out. Rate reflects the weekly rate with discount. We will stay here again. We camped at Heritage Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

Other ratings are accurate. Nice park, albeit it a little dusty. Beautiful views and friendly staff. We came in from the north, and a tree limb on Spanish Valley Dr. took out our skylight just before we turned into the park. We camped at OK RV Park & Canyonlands Stables in a Motorhome.

Cowboy RV Park, Pocatello, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Can't say why, didn't like the office staff when we checked in. Strangest parking arrangements I've ever seen. Roads don't permit easy turn in to pull thru's. Two RV's per site. If you're number two, sleep in or back out. Limited parking for your towed. We would not stay here again. We camped at Cowboy RV Park in a Motorhome.
