Wonderful experience staying @ Anchors Aweigh. Level sites, cable and good wifi. Only setback is lack of trees. The temperature was high and it was very hot. Youth group from out of town came in to do bible study for the kids. Great job. We camped at Anchors Aweigh RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

First time staying here and enjoy it greatly. Two pools which my wife and daughter love. The staff was helpful and nice. They were willing to bend over backward in making our stay en joyful. We were in the back section. I believe next time we will be a spot up front. We stay a week and love it. We camped at Emerald Coast RV Beach Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Wind Creek State Park, Alexander City, Alabama

Date of Stay: March, 2011 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

It was spring break while we were here. One of the biggest concerns is watching kids riding their bikes. They will pull out in front of you without looking. Another concern I notice was others trying to back their trailer in with so many other cars and trucks in the way. A couple of them came in after dark and it is almost impossible to see what you doing. The great thing is other campers will come over and help in anyway possible. Yes, we would come again! We camped at Wind Creek State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Deer Run RV Park, Troy, Alabama

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

One of the greatest park around. The staff and owner are some of the finest people you ever meet. They bend over backward to help to make your stay a great visit. They seems to want you to enjoy yourself and they will do what it takes for that to happen. Deer Run is on a major highway (231). Many campers stop here while they are traveling. However, there are several who stay for months here. If you ever in the area, I would highly suggest for you to give them a try! While you are here and something isn't right. TELL THEM and they will do what they can to make it right. We camped at Deer Run RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Anchors Aweigh RV Resort, Foley, Alabama

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

The park is right in the heart of Foley, close to the beach and other activities ie shopping, and Wal-Mart and eating places. The lots were well cared for. Grass was easy to walk on without stickers. No problem with critters/ants. Swimming pool was very nice water temp much better this year. Although there is little shade, the morning and evening breeze when you are in the shade is pleasant. We plan to go back again. We camped at Anchors Aweigh RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Frank Jackson State Park, Opp, Alabama

Date of Stay: March, 2010 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We had another great visit here at Frank Jackson. The only concern was the checking-in part. Since the price has increased and different according to when you stay make it kind of confusing. Now weekend cost more then the week days. However, it is a good place to camp out. The staff seems to help in any way possible. We had a good view of the lake. The internet work great with no problems. We will camp here again! We camped at Frank Jackson State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Peach Queen Campground, Jemison, Alabama

Date of Stay: November, 2009 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

I stayed here before and got good service. This time it was different. It was advertised that you get a discount if you ask for one. Asked: they responded that they do not give discounts. Said the price was $30.00 but everyone is charged $25.00. To be honest, I think that is high because there was no cable TV or internet set-up. Right next to the camp ground is a truck stop that was making loud sounds all through the night. I don't believe I will stay here again unless some major changes take place. There is a campground just a few miles from here that charges less, and you can get cableTV. We camped at Peach Queen Campground in a Motorhome.

Swan Creek, Tanner, Alabama

Date of Stay: November, 2009 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a clean park. The staff was friendly. I requested a site with cable TV (for all sites do not have it at this time). Once I got set up and begin to set-up my television, I found out that the cable wasn't working correctly. I asked the office if there was a problem with the cable and yes, they have been having major problems with the cable company. (Their contact will run out at the end of the year, and I believe they are looking at getting a new cable company to come in and take over.) Anyway, I wanted to see a football game on Saturday and was unable to pick it up with my TV. Their office is closed on Saturdays and Sunday, so they gave me a key to the Club house so I could watch the ball game there. This is a great camp ground. The only other concern is the train. You could hear it on several occasions during the night. But it wasn't that bad. Also, it was right beside a major road. I will stay again if I ever get an opportunity. We camped at Swan Creek in a Motorhome.

Cullman Campground, Cullman, Alabama

Date of Stay: November, 2009 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

It was one of those parks that when you begin to enter, you start questioning, "What am I getting myself into." However, it is a little out of the way but it was worth it. As it was said the owner was a fine man who gave me a wonderful welcome. Wasn't much to do there but it was a nice quiet place to stay. Yes, if I am ever back in the area I would camp there again. I did get a 10% discount because of Good Sam Card. We camped at Cullman Campground in a Motorhome.

America's Best Campground, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We check-in at a busy time of the day. However, it went quickly and with no problem. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our first concern was that our site was not level. So one of the maintenance men help me leveling where we can stay OK. The campground was close to many activities just a few minutes away. We stay several days with no major problems. However, one night after closing time, we had a concern and no one was in the office to help. Couldn't find anyone who work there so we thought we were going to have a major concern, but finally I did find one of the maintenance men and he came to help. I was grateful for that. On Sunday morning they had a pancake breakfast with special entertainment. We would stay again if in the area. We camped at America's Best Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Pineglen Motorcoach and RV Park, Panama City Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Some friends of ours were staying a week at this campground. They invited us to come down for a couple of days to camp with them. The staff put us next door to our friends, and we had a wonderful experience. The swimming pool was right behind us, and for that reason we did not have far to walk to it. We had a screened-in porch. The beach and many activities were just minutes away. We would stay there again if we were back in the area. We camped at Pineglen Motorcoach and RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
