The staff was very friendly and check in was easy. We stayed in trail C site 18 and had know problems with the road or getting our camper in the site. This site was very muddy and desperately needed gravel added to it. Trails F,C, and E are all large enough for a bigger camper. The restrooms are outdated but keep very clean. The campground in general is very nice with views throughout of the lake and Stone Mountain. It is a bit over priced for the condition of the park, but overall a nice place to camp. Most of the activities in the park require additional money.

Very nice park conveniently located close to restaurants and attractions. It is an easy drive to the National Park as well. The RV park is very well maintained and clean. The pool is nice with the added bonus of the facilities at the hotel next door for campground guest to use. The pull-through sites are close together but typical for the area. The employees all were very nice and helpful. The only negative that I can say and this being picky is the grass could have been cut, it was a little long. I would recommend this park.

One of the best Alabama State Parks that I have stayed at. We stayed on the lake which was a little extra but well worth it. The sites on the north end do back up to where the fire was at this summer, but it is greening up. We found only a handful of sites that I would consider a bad site. I would not recommend the sites behind the dumpsters. All the sites were level and spaced nicely apart from each other. The bath houses were very clean. The pool was something you would expect to see at a top notch resort. Be sure to check out the activities schedule while you are there. The mosquitoes were bad right at dusk. We will be back soon.

We stayed a week on site 12. I think this is the nicest site in the park. The campground was well maintained, bathrooms were clean but a little outdated. The owners really made you feel welcome. They were helpful in telling places to go in Helen and surrounding area. I checked out other campgrounds in the area and I feel this is the best choice. The only suggestion that I could offer was for the RV pads to be a little cleaner on arrival. The other sites that we liked were 8 and 9. Even though we did not stay in the cabins we did look at them and they seemed really nice. We definitely would stay here again.

I was supposed to stay for two nights only lasted one. The campground is littered in trash. The campfire ring had old clothes, bottles, and trash in it along with the two sites next to me. The bathrooms were never cleaned and were the worst that I have seen since camping. Shower curtain was covered in mold, and the floors had not been swept or moped in a long time. The road is gravel with pot holes and washed out places. The back of the sites had beer cans and bottles all in the woods. The majority of the sites were unlevel. I would highly recommend staying away from this place. They had no pride in the campground at all.

We were in site 49, which I would not recommend. It had a tree right in the middle of the site which made it difficult to have the awning out and the picnic table was in the wrong place. I would say that out of all the sites they had I liked only a hand full of them. The campground itself was very clean and well maintained. It is an older campground and does need some updating. The pool was really nice with a nice playground for the kids. The restrooms were clean just outdated. This is a great place for an overnight trip. The train did not bother us at all during the night. The pricing of the campground is a little strange, they charge extra for a few things such as guest for more than ten minutes being there.

We stayed here for a week. We were very pleased with the RV resort. The restrooms were always clean every time we went to use them. The staff was very friendly and helpful in locating back roads to take to avoid traffic in the area. The pool was great, over looking the river. It took about 20 minutes to get into Gatlinburg if the traffic was not too bad. With this RV park you did not get the feeling of being on top of everyone, the sites were nicely laid out. I would highly recommend this park.

We stayed a week and really enjoyed the park. The pros to the park were you felt like you were in the mountains away from it all. It had easy access to Gatlinburg, about a 15 minute drive. The stream that runs through the park is great, had lots of water that made for nice sleeping at night. The owners of the park are fantastic, they could not be more helpful or nice. Met us in a golf cart and showed us to our site, and then helped us back in. The cons to the park: the sites are very close to each other, this is the norm however in this area. We looked at several other RV parks while we were here and it was the same. The roads are gravel and could use a little more added to them: we had a lot of rain and it got muddy in spots. I would recommend sited 30-43, stay away from 54-60, these are right by the dump station. Overall it is a great place to stay, I would stay here again.
