Gilbert Ray Campground / Tucson Mountain Park, Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2009 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

The campground has limited hook-ups, but it is located in a quiet area and is close to Tucson, Saguaro Natl Monument, Desert Museum and Old Tucson. We've stayed twice and enjoyed it both times. I would go back. We camped at Gilbert Ray Campground / Tucson Mountain Park in a Travel Trailer.

Butterfield RV Resort & Observatory, Benson, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park has nice amenities. It is kept very clean. However, we came with children and it became clear to us very quickly that children are 'tolerated' not 'welcome'. The park policies are geared toward a senior-only park. The amenities close at 8pm. We also found the park staff to be less than friendly. Although the facilities are nice, the senior oriented policies and unwelcoming staff really put a damper on our stay. I will try other parks before coming back. We camped at Butterfield RV Resort & Observatory in a Travel Trailer.
