Sportsman's Cove Resort, McIntosh, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Listed as passport, but no longer is. Good Sam rating higher than deserved. Interior road has large potholes, rest rooms old but clean. Park old but clean. Lots of low hanging Oak tree branches covered with spanish moss, on road into campground. Owner arrived on lawn mower to check us in. He assigned us to site 301 which we had already passed. I was willing to back up to the site, but he insisted I circle around the park to the site. Following his instructions, driving center of road the motorhome struck a low hanging limb covered with Spanish moss, breaking off my air conditioner shroud, and scraped tops of my two sewer vents. The height of my 40 ft. motorhome is 12 ft. 9 in. He had to be aware the tree was low because when I informed him I had struck the tree he said he was having difficulty getting permission to trim the trees. He wanted to document the damage, and went up on the roof and took pictures of the damage. He said he was going to Ocala and would look into finding a replacement. Never heard from him again. I called him before departing and told him I was the one with the damaged air conditioner shroud. He hung up on me. He has all my information from check in, but I still have not heard from him. We camped at Sportsman's Cove Resort in a Motorhome.

Lazy Day Campground, Danville, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The $34.50 gave us a site with 50 amp, water & sewer. Upon arrival it rained & we were escorted to our site. The man got off the golf cart in the heavy rain to get us on the site. These are the kind of people who want to make sure you have a pleasant experience. Interior roads and sites are good gravel, sites are terraced and mostly level and are pull thru. Sites are back to back. The grounds are well maintained and decorated with wood carvings, ladder jacks, horseshoes and a small but beautiful pool. The shower rooms and laundry are decorated with antiques and collectibles. We stayed here two nights and would definitely recommend this RV park. We camped at Lazy Day Campground in a Motorhome.
